this sort of shit is so stupid and pathetic to me. "it's actually really interesting how a socialist movement today would mean everyone crying constantly and thrashing around on the floor gushing blood from their nose and ears and eyes, it's insanely weird and cool how I project my crippling anxiety and neuroses onto everyone who shares my politics, funky fresh wild how I can declare with self-satisfaction that politics now needs some ineffable Zizekian component to advance beyond its current state which I just imagined while typing this"

i realize it probably comes from their sheer individual isolation from other people with socialist politics, but it's hard to fight the belief that someone who writes like this is willing themselves not to accept the real world because it might get their hopes up and risk disappointing them again

everyone on Twitter apparently had these severe performative fake panic attacks today how this time, THIS time, they were all DEFINITELY going to get "purged" by Twitter's 5,547th "we are seriously not kidding about really doing it this time" policy, and started suggesting a bunch of truly laughable shit like switching over to some no-name alternative micro-blogging platform. forums supremacy continues unabated i guess.
