that commercial was so hilariously ill advised that it's an instant classic for me. I will surely remember it still 20 years from now, and laugh

alright, 'fess up, gang: who here's been abundantly cracking wise with contempt for DPRK???

I'm constantly dming the one big DPRK knower guy on twitter my dumb questions so redkahina can, pardon my french, eat my whole shit.

#62
I follow that person because I wanted a good source on stuff from that region as we escalate tensions with the DPRK but I'm annoyed by their following the lefter-than-thou self-congratulatory bullshit routine on twitter (retweeting Phil Greaves scolding Rania Khalek for being anti-Assad in 2014 even though she's one of the most prominent anti-interventionists now, taking time out last evening to scream Fuck Yous at pisspig grandpa because apparently he has something to do with Trump missiling Syria, crying about the tenor of Felix Chapo's anti-war jokes, etc). Yes you're better than the more popular people okay thanks. Anyway tHE rHizzonE unambiguously stands with the DPRK and Kim Jong Un (who isn't fat) and everyone thinks we're crazy for it and Molly Kahina is probably mad at us because khamsek posted here

That's a common misconception, but, interestingly, he's in fact remarkably svelte.

yeah they're really running a full-court press on the "blood on your hands" stuff. i can definitely understand being critical of people who'll reverse their position without owning it, but out of the opinion-changers they constantly mock, Rania in particular has been very forthright with public self-criticism -- admitting that she "fell for" the propaganda line, etc. (i may be misremembering, but i could swear i heard her mention in one or another podcast that she had reconnected with Syrian family members who helped set her straight. anyone else know what I'm thinking of?)

anyway, i don't understand the mindset that says it's preferable that someone who admits they fucked up should just drop off the face of the earth rather than do penance and try to undo the harm they caused

sounds like maybe her interview w/ the war nerd?

*piurchases and drinks a pepsi* so what's hapening on twitter?
#68
As soon as news that America was bombing Syria, molly kahuna took to twitter to immediately attack khamsek over some obscure boring old tweet.
Meanwhile khamsek was organising anti Syria war protest in the city they both live in.
Kahina of course will not be joining the protest.
She is too busy doxxing those anti war activists safe from her home

bookface containment zone

The media war against Syria would not be possible without colonial chauvinism. Westerners like to imagine that everyone else in the world is propagandised except them when really they're the most brainwashed people on the planet.

These people are socialised to see the relationship between their own imperialist regimes and the third world as something akin to the relationship between a parent and child. If the child gets out of line, it needs to be disciplined, that's how they think.

They imagine that launching a barrage of missiles at the Syrian Army is akin to spanking an Arab President for being naughty. It never occurs to them that their sympathy is being weaponised for regime change by the brilliant acting performances of Carrie Bickmore and her coconut traitor cohost, Waleed Aly.

Don't let your sympathy serve imperialism.
