#7884
yeah, if you don't get thrown out of this, you're going to lose some forums cred...which, as we all know, is very hard to get back.

I have an option to do an engineering masters in China. Should I do it (yes)(no)? What are your thoughts. I need someone to make decisions for me.

My thought is, Yes. You should do it. Why wouldn't you?

#7903
That's a good point. Then I probably should. kkkanada has an abysmal marine industry, and China is one of the only countries that actually offers a masters program in my field. But sometimes I worry that it's all too good to be true. Maybe I'll go visit and see what's up.

#7905
hey how could we give you answers w/o knowing what you're studying or your relationship w/ school... are you building boats or somethin. boats for what. i think it'd be really difficult to do a technical program in a language the student doesn't speak

going to a concert of the red army choir tonight. cant wait to see the choir of the most heroic army ever sell out by singing shitty turkish pop songs for money
#7908
trip report: the concert was incredible but so was the sellout part. they sang a very famous song about people dying in gallipoli and on the screen was a photo of erdo─čan praying for the fallen. aaaaaaaaaand at the end they introduced the municipal candidate of AKP for the district where the venue was but the guy is currently the mayor of another district and has no relevance with the organization of the concert. it was shameless as hell lol

on the way back i took a cab and we started to chat and i was talking about the concert and he asked why it was free, then i mentioned the candidate stuff and said maybe that s why they made it free and i almost started to go on a rant against this shameless shit. then the cabbie started to talk about how good of a mayor and made the district look like a palace and i said hell yeah man he s the best and we talked about how good he is for at least 5 minutes lol

has getfiscal gotten a real job yet or does he still live with his parents
#7910
does anyone really, truly, get a "real job" or stop "living with their parents"? that's the fundamental question.

the large absence of surplus value production in the imperialist core and the predomination of moribund, yet intensive, patriarchal relations in global class society points to, no.
#7911
i wont ever forget that gibberish you just wrote
#7912
Getfiscal got kicked out, his parents are subletting his room to me.

Yes, I still live with my parents, but I have written several successful blog posts over the past year, so I'm kind of a big deal.

To bring the thread's current topics into harmony in naked defiance of its title, Thug Lessons recently mentioned Zizek is his favorite public intellectual, and wrote, 'I am acutely aware of the failures of Marxism and proceed to examine them on a Marxist basis. This is what makes me an "outlaw Marxist",' as well as, 'Crane and xenogothic are #1 and #2 on my list of condescending, arrogant, turbo-academic dipshits that I've had the misfortune of interacting with on here, so seeing them have it out again is, well, I wouldn't say I'm exactly enjoying it, but they definitely deserve each other.' For this definitive ranking of Final Fantasy bosses and closely correspondent reasons, I continue to support Thug Lessons's return to this forum to troll us until he's banned again a couple days later for unironically typing "Anti-racism is a sickness and I (Lessons) am the cure." and clicking the Post button.

Thug Lessons was a step we all took and left behind in our journey to being mature communists, the idea that politics is a pathology or that Marxism is merely a step in technological mode of Being or slave morality or wherever semi-fascist critique is a necessary youthful critique that one overcomes to understand Marxism as science. You would be disappointed to encounter him after the work has been done, like a revival of Hegel after Marx's critique (exactly what Zizek claims to do in order to avoid dialectical materialism).
