this. I remember reading somewhere that the perception of teleology in media franchises and the constant need to develop a lore for every conceivable thing in a fictional universe is a distinct aspect of postmodern media. Maybe in Jameson's book on postmodernity idk.

My main interest was initially Christianity, but I was also interested in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Taoism because that's what I was growing up around . I used to spend a lot of time going to Hindu temples and Chinese temples, but from a very early age I was interested in the Bible and in New Testament apocrypha, and also in eschatological and apocalyptic writings. I studied Buddhism for a long time but, yeah, if people ask me what I am now, I'm Christian.

Even before that. I've spent my entire adult life extremely online and it was always full of racists. They didn't like Obama but they didn't like McCain either because he was a RINO -today they would say "cuck"- and the reasoning was mostly that he was soft on immigration and surrounded by (((neoconservatives)))

there's a lot of leftists who started out as libertarians, not terribly committed except to the reality that Pot Laws Are Bullshit and both parties are similar, that even a teen who likes ayn rand can see it
