This year it really hit me. I struggle with mental illness too and I came to really own it and realize it isnt our fault. we're crazy and that's fine, it's mostly due to power relations (See: http://www.davidsmail.info/introfra.htm). we can keep changing things up to see what happens, because it's a lot about what i put into my body as well: images, tv, movies, media, food, drugs, but also conversations, family, friends, coworkers, comrades. we can try to live in a different mode. rejecting toxic gender roles. allowing a childlike playfulness to come out. Rejecting people that have colonized mentalities and live for accomplishments and status and one-upping each another and putting people down, even if they belong to the "left".
