judging from the hints he's dropped in interviews it'll be something like "uhhh... i don't... remember why i'm here... what the fuck"

'new' star wars is a remake of the original except the revolutionary massage is replaced with multiculturalism and identity politics. its basically an exact remake of the movie A New Hope that exists in the popular consciousness after 30 years of marketing and serving as a signifier of 'nerd' idenity.

You see things as left/right, I see things as upward-outward/upward-inward/downward-outward/downward-inward.

i never liked that show. i still saw a bunch of episodes because in the 90s you couldn't like go off and watch ten episodes of the wire on your laptop. you had to engage in intricate negotiations just to keep the channel on something tolerable. it's important that our teen lurkers recognize the freedom we have today.

i binge watched episodes of dawson's creek on my computer in the 1990s from usenet

i sexted in college on a monochrome screen candy bar phone, stegosaurus insulted my memes back when they were called image macros. we are not our fathers.

i have never seen an episode of dawson's creek, i just have a special place in my heart for the assembled artists of lilith fair

i even have a wilmington insider rumor about the cast: they would buy beer and cigarettes for high school age kids.

i owned and enjoyed This Fire, which was one of the best albums of the late 1990s. Cole was given New Artist in 1998, part of a redemptive run for the backhanded award that would include Leann Rimes, Lauryn Hill and Christina Aguilera and almost made up for the post-Crow debacle of Hootie and the Blowfish in 1996.
