it’s not nice, it’s unlikely to happen and I can’t endorse it myself given my beliefs, but the honest truth is that we might be better off in this fallen world if we shot everyone who openly endorses the message in that Grimes song before they have a chance to do any real harm.

it’s exactly parallel to the Heidegger & other petit-booj German academic types in the early 20th-century interwar period, where they’ve converted intellectual neurosis into a mystical belief system that leaves them no real option other than joining the Nazis if and when they arrive.

[To explain what I meant above, this particular track literally attempts to appropriate PSA techniques from DPRK, telling kids to brush their teeth and so on, so it can warp those techniques to promote fascist ideology, and the artist is bragging about “North Korea” as the source in interviews.]
