This is a gross slander against Chesterton, actually.
Edit: But the whole issue of Chesterton is a distraction from The_Boourns_Identity's apologetics for Zionism and pogroms in the name of "neighborly love" so...

i'm a charlatan and don't know much about this but papa bear's "how to read lacan" is short and sweet. there are dozens of recent intros to lacan now though. you should also become fluent in french, because, i mean really, let's be civilized.

its a utopian pre-marxist socialism that zizek's followers try to assert, but it ends up being the left flank of petite bourgeois fascism (chesterton, heidegger, the jurist Carl Schmitt, and in the end Goebbels & his modern anticommunist children)

the end of the parallax view is literally praising bartleby's "i'd prefer not to" as a platform of inaction for the Left.

my favorite thing is when a zizek follower tries to handwave away criticism by claiming it is a shallow misrepresentation, you have to actually read his books etc. this is always a bluff, zizek followers don't know how to read, if they did they'd notice you quoting his bullshit verbatim
i'll never get those precious hours back ;_;

their posts indicate a failure to understand that for irony to exist you need an established context, and when the only established context that's been given to us is "stupid shit" you can't subvert it with even more of the exact same stupid shit

yeah zizek is babby's first critical theory but we have to destroy our first sensei to become badass intellectual kung fu villans and achieve our True Power and cut off the cossack's balls

same except with chomsky and anti-imperialism.
the chomsky and zinn quotes on the back were too predictable and made me a little bit sad
