It already has started slowing, last year or 2011 was the peak of foreign investment. We'll see a slowdown of course, fall back on our other big industries like Education (our 3rd biggest export), agriculture, services etc. Property will probably see a big slump and while it remains ludicrously unaffordable it's been relatively stable for a while.

Still, we've only got 5.5% unemployment and a relatively miniscule public debt, so we're in an alright position to handle it. I know that we're not immune to the ravages of bust and boom but it's worth keeping in mind that we have a whole continent of resources and land for only 23 million people

"(Cocorosie's Bianca) Casady was raised in Santa Barbara, Calif., but quickly notes her worldliness by listing the cities where she has lived along the trail to Brooklyn. A regular Kill Whitie partygoer, she tried the conventional (that is, non-hipster) hip-hop clubs but found the men "really hard-core." In this vastly whiter scene, Casady said that "it's a safe environment to be freaky."'

maybe not skrewdriver racist, but at least ace of base racist i'd say

I see it now; the long gray shuffling masses corralled through the featureless cement corridors of Sheriff Joe's post-decline America. The signs, an unnecessary formality, indicating the way toward delousification up ahead. Then from somewhere high above, the speakers unseen, comes a tinny off-key warbling voice over softly plucked notes, repeated in simple, dire patterns.

Suddenly, the crowd breaks into a run.
