Squalid posted:I read that book and I think it's a load of crap. Some of what he says might be true in specific local regions but fail when applied generally. First of all he ignores the existence of many wild cat species throughout Eurasia and tropical America that fill similar niches as the house cat, but are better adapted to their specific environment. Also while dogs are likely to suffer extirpation in areas with similar native predators like temperate North America, the same can not be said for say, Australia, or South America. Although south america does have a native wolf it's behavior is more like that of a coyote, possibly leaving space for a large exhaustion pack hunter.
Basically he makes strong attention getting claims and ignores bumps and wrinkles in his pretty theories. Then again it was a simple fantasy largely designed to draw attention to our environmental impact so eh
cool, thanx i dont know anything about mammals

the answer to that, comrade, is that we didn't know she was gonna go up there, for a few days in a row up here at this vacation place she didn't go up. she would hang around downstairs but she went up the last two nights in a row (the first of those nights my parents actually had their door closed because they didn't expect it ) and so today since she'd gone up the last two nights we DID help her up there. comrade
