ummmmmmmmmmm lol

oftentimes, people take the same drug and experience different effects, learn about reality.

yes they do. but the only possible way you could say what you've just said is to never have had those experiences. people also react differently to a violent punch in the gut but that's another thing that you don't just read about
#83
impper and i have probably done more drugs in our histories' combined than exist on the planet at the moment, don't act like you know a damn thing about it
#84
all that having done drugs means is that your brain is fucked up.
#85

you could never comprehend the pain of getting your fingers stuck in the window as it's rolled up without having experienced it yourself!

get this: it hurts like hell.

saying that you need to experience romantic love in order to completely describe its various elements is as absurd as saying you need to experience a given drug in order to completely describe its various elements. in point of fact, the qualitative experience is in many ways an impediment to reaching the deeper truths, and if you want a direct story of the immediate, qualitative experience, you can simply listen and read, which will always give a more complete image than the parochialism of how your brain reacted.

hold on a sec, let me just rely on my qualitative experience of love. *falls in love with like a million different terrible partners, each the result of a broader trend he is incapable of noticing or changing because he has no understanding about how his own behavior is leading him into these bad situations again and again*

BAD RELATIONSHIPS ARE sorry bad relationships are a lot like car crashes, in that you should engage in behaviors to avoid them.

#111
im not surte what "adjusting your behavior" has to do with finding love anyway? what a weird way to think about it... sort of a ... Mystery Method way...
#112
lol look at this n00b who has never read BALLARD i actively seek both car crashes and bad relationships yo
#113
i'm never going to do anything that isn't strictly necesary to survive until the next day because to engage in such superfluous activity would increase my chance of suffering harm

many people wind up making the same mistake in selecting their partner or pursuing a relationship over and over again. not doing those things, including by pre-emptively being aware of them and adjusting for them (e.g. acknowledging the fact that a normal, healthy romantic relationship is not going to grant you Personal Fulfillment of the kind that activism, ideology, charity, etc can), is a Good Idea.

#115
in my experience, normal healthy relationship does grant personal fulfillment
