one time i was hanging out with my bro-y friends and they asked me why id been down and i said i think im depressed and one guy told me they didnt think i had depression and i had like a spontaneous breakdown in front of them after that bc my parents had always told me the same kinda thing

last week one of my roommates a ubergoon fatso guy who talks about himself and especially his depression shit constantly mentioned how bad it is and iwas like yeah i know what u mean and then he said judging by what ive seen u dont have depression and i was like oh ok!

moral of the story dont tell ppl things it can be hurtful but also ppl get stronger as they learn to live with themselves thanks for reading everyone and i hope u all feeling ok

EO youre worse. playing the depressed-er than thou game is goony and stupid. depression is crippling disease and each case is unique and tut-tutting someone for the symptoms of their disease is bootstrap as fuck

Seriously though how am I playing the more depressed game? All I'm playing is the age shaming / I don't like other poster game. I never once said anyone was "more depressed" than anyone else. I specifically think that's bullshit. Conec has insisted that I'm saying that I'm more depressed over and over, but other than that I don't really see how that's in any way happening. I should not have given Conec the attention she so clearly craves, and for that I am genuinely apologetic.

Seems like a lot of posters here have dealt with depression in their lives.

i shouldn't joke about depression, im pretty sure i dont have it and it seems unkind to those who do
#139
i used to be somewhat open about it in my personal life with a few close friends but even then you get the feeling that anybody who hasn't gone through it silently judges you and it becomes a useful social tool to undermine all of your Scientifically Correct Communisms

If having a broken brain does positively correlate with political radicalism aren't the only true options to either reject science ftw or to surrender for brain adjustment. I'll hang up and take my answer off the air

In any case I think we have to fight against how the upset and dissatisfied will make up part of any radical political movement because here at the rhizzone we love to fail and smash our hands in car doors and die.

I told a lady I work with that I was chronically depressed and she said "isn't everybody?" and I haven't been able to work out the flaw in her argument.
