during the debate, Trump is going to comically pull out a coffin on stage and everybody is going to stare at it for an hour wondering with anticipation what the deal is and then he’s going to trip Biden who will fly straight into it, ensuing wild applause
Sanders failed and is going to campaign for a bloodsoaked rapist lol

can't say I expect this to result in any immediate surge of new organizing, but I think it did destroy the ambiguous-at-worst feelings that tens of millions of Americans, mostly young ones, had towards the Democratic party and, by implication, the American electoral process in general... and that ain't bad!

her main activity the past 30 years has been running for executive positions and losing, or movement ambulance chasing, like showing up at standing rock and ferguson for photo ops, false internationalism. she's not one of PSL's intellectuals like puryear, her publishing credentials are approximately those of our own wuyong. compared to her way-more-qualified nonwhite VPs, puryear, dennis banks, peltier, what's she doing on the ticket. why trust leadership that loses the exact same way for years on end. i went to a few meetings with her present, and could not figure out what her special contribution was. when she + psl sf + me were doing table reads of the people's congress of resistance, i remember the facilitator musing, 'why is it in this country, we don't have actual democratic choices for president, why not, say, a 5th grade teacher? an electrician? a worker?' lol. when i'd ask psl ppl about her campaign too they'd get sheepish like they were embarrassed. so a perpetual loser, the party didn't seem to think running for president was a good use of everyone's time, she picks anticolonial movement leaders and intellectuals for VP, but the platform preserves the colony, i think i've seen this movie before... we can actually do better ya know
i dont get why this is your avenue of criticism? yeah, of course the person on executive ballot for the tiny socialist party in america will perpetually lose, winning in electoral politics is not the purpose or the strategy, and they're pretty clear and upfront that it's simply a method to garner outreach and publicity. there's probably quite a few folks who are independently marxist who come to learn of the PSL after seeing them on the ballot, because unless you happen to fall into niche left-wing irl organizing or a weird commie internet forum, looking at the ballot is an accessible mainstream avenue that would otherwise never happen for a party like the PSL.
hell, the small success of the california fascist party (not the GOP, the other one) is almost entirely due to the brilliant idea someone had to call themselves the American Independent Party to get a bunch of unsuspecting libs and moderates to sign up thinking it was the equivalent of registering as Non-partisan.

advertising their existence by appearing on the ballot is not necessarily a great way for a party to be taken seriously, imo

in the highly unlikely event that we ever have a legislature willing to pass what this country needs and a head-hitler-in-charge willing to sign that legislation, the supreme court is going to be a barrier regardless of whether it has biden appointees or trump appointees. that government will need to be willing and able to ignore, subvert, or otherwise overpower the court, or it will fail
Bernie Sanders endorsed Joe Biden on Monday during a surprise appearance on the former vice president’s livecast.
Sanders, who formally suspended his campaign last week, said he needed everyone in the United States – not just his supporters – to back Biden and make sure that Donald Trump becomes a one-term president.
“I will do all that I can to see that that happens, Joe,” Sanders pledged.

if you like Leonard Peltier so much maybe you should ask him what she's been doing for the last 30 years before you ride out to protect him from her spells. Or I don't know, ask the Cuban Five or the Communist Party of Cuba? These all seem like good places to start

maybe i'm misunderstanding what you're saying here, but there have been some relatively big decisions that have been made mostly along party lines. labor disputes, voting, immigration, abortion, etc.

i can't in good conscience vote for one of these ghouls but at the same time i have a hard time telling people these decisions don't matter when i'm not personally affected by them
