that reminds me of the people who thought you could systematically buy debt off collection auctions/agencies at an extreme discount to save people from collections.

"Oliver bought $14,922,261.76 of medical debt from more than 9,000 people and then forgave it on the Sunday segment about debt in the U.S., marking the largest giveaway in television history."

See... If John Oliver had read the Rhizzone... He wouldn't have helped those people. Read the damn forum, John.

Update on what's going on in the canadian post office: across the country members are organizing demonstrations on the floor to show solidarity. It's happening mostly in quebec, and alberta. People are marching on and off their shift, or making as much noise together as possible during 5 minute breaks. Some stations are doing the opposite and just going quiet for 5 minutes at a cooordinated time. It's eerie hearing a giant warehouse that is full of working sounds just stop.

The ultimate goal is to show solidarity, that we stand together and to intimidate management.

Oh hi, Vance. What is your favorite rap song? Oh, Brian, A.K.A. Bri, my favorite is definitely Bruddah Tambo's "How to Steal from the Subway I Work at While Stinking." The beat and autotuning is incredible. I'm a communist on the internet. Well Vance, that's a good track. I like to "bounce" to it while in my Kia.

What's the backstory here?

#3728
this forum was originally on somethingawful.com but after an Ironic threat to the president thread got the site owner a secret service subpeona, and possibly more importantly after everyone made fun of one of the mods extensively, the subforum got shut down

I managed 25 million worth of construction on a major highway & the grade guy went literally crazy and was finally removed after running around with a gun & we possibly have a river running under our embankment & it's the most stressed I've been in my sober life.

Now that I'm hopefully mostly done with road construction would there be any interest in a post about how the process works... it wouldn't be especially socialist or anything but I always find system knowledge stuff interesting, myself.

I'm in my last year of college and I am simultaneously stoked to be done soon and terrified because I don't know what I will do after. I just want to have a job and live in an apartment that isn't far from my family and friends but the city is so damn expensive.
