hi every`1. so recently after i axed lgp on ask.fm y his wife wore so much make up, i admitted that i`ve wanted to experiment w cosmetics myself but i`ve strayed away from doing so bcos they are a) costly and two) time consuming to apply. the only places i go to usually are school or to grocery store nd i usually get ready within fifteen to twenty min.. so, a quick rinse from neck down in the shower nd den i put my hair in bun wif chopstick n apply bb cream to the apples of my cheeks nd my nose n then put on mascara nd lip balm. n of c step into my civvies. i don`t tend to take longer than that cos usually i don`t wake up early enough for class to do much else. however, i have been waking at least thirty min earlier lately nd have put more effort into my ensembles - previously i would jus throw on one of my XL tees.. trogdor tee, keroppi tee, japan tee w a dragon it, etc, and a skirt or shorts n wear some tennies. recently i have worn more dresses ((my closet is teeming w them_)_) n proper blouses w buttons nd what have u. neway, to complement my new nd improved look i decided to finally delve into the sea of beauty products, but i`ve ventured off the beaten path so to speak. i have been ordering korean products w the exception of a mascara and eyelash primer that i will post later ((im too lazy to photograph them atm_)_). also, i am waiting on a lip tint a brow pencil nd an eyeliner to arrive in the mail - once i receive these items, i will edit this post and add them to the list of reviews. first, i`d like to say that the look i go for is simple nd clean like the kingdom hearts theme nd cute, not overly dolled up or anything - i don`t do that "smokey eye" sh`d that is somehow still ubiquitous in girls magazines even tho its totally a thing of the past nd looks raunchy nd trashy ~!~! i like doll-like makeup wifout the cake face effect, if u follow me. let`s get started ~!

  • etude house wonder pore freshner

    alright, so, i bought this stuff after reading a ton of reviews that sang praises of this stuff. it`s a toner, you apply it to your face after you`ve washed it and it is meant to even out your skin tone, control shine, and maintain a certain ph. this stuff specifically claims to minimize the look of your pores and deep clean them - i will say that other than the tip of my nose, i cannot really see my pores. but, people said this stuff worked wonders on more than just the appearance of pores so i decided to give it a go. i will keep using it to really make sure of my suspicions, but i don`t think this is a very good product. i think it actually makes my skin shinier than it was before, when i used witch hazel instead. i will not be rebuying this product and i advise you to save your money and just use clinique or witch hazel.



    etude house goodbye pore ever pore primer essence

    so, once again, i saw lots of positive reviews for this stuff. it`s a primer - primers are used to prep the skin for easier and more even application of makeup. it sorta makes the skin a bit smoother, so that the makeup looks better on top of it. anyway, i have tried expensive primers before, and they were sh`1te. this stuff rocks my socks~!~! it works like a charm and the packaging is super cute. ~smiles~ if you are looking for a cheap, extra goode primer, look no further~!




    etude house sweet recipe baby choux base, mint choux

    alright, this stuff intrigued me because it is mint green but once you spread it over your skin it just makes you look a shade paler. i bought this because it was green and i really like the name, i find it cute. baby choux.. hehe. sweet recipe. anyway~!~! this stuff is my jam~!~! it makes me look like porcelain. :smile: fyi i have a fair complexion w pink undertones. also, this makes your face baby soft~!~! i hadn`t even heard of bases before, but now that i`ve found this stuff, there`s no going back. a must have~! it is spf twenty five btw.




    etude house precious mineral bb cream cotton fit

    ok, i got this stuff because it was uber cheap, had decent reviews, and because my previous bb cream, which is also korean (don`t buy western bb creams they are a joke_)_), had a strong yellow tone which totally didn`t match my skin - it was way too dark and yellow even though its the lightest shade they sell and it has whitening properties~! so, i got this stuff, and i have to say, i really like it ~! it has an interesting texture, creamy, but sets to be mostly matte. the color fits my pale skin and wif this on top of the baby choux base, i really look like a doll. just like my blythe doll ~winking smile~ such a great value.



    etude house water color blusher in baby apricot

    alright, so amidst ordering all this stuff, i realized that i needed a new blush. i never really wear the stuff because the idea of using a makeup brush grosses me out, it seems dirty. so, wif that being said, i`ve been curious about liquid blushes. i`ve tried samples of them before and i decided i ought to buy one. i got this color because blink calls me his baby apricot sometimes nd so i just couldn`t resist~! my instinct is to buy pinks, but golly, i am pleasantly surprised w the hue of this blush~! it really suits me and it is a very cute color. it blends into my cheeks perfectly and it is much easier to put this stuff on than it is to put on powder blush, which cakes on very easily and leaves a dusty look on your face. you should get this blush if you want something kawaii ~!



    skin79 bb cleanser

    so, bb creams tend to be more difficult to remove than foundation make up, despite being lighter consistency and coverage. i got this cleanser to ensure that my face gets totally clean - it uses a two step process, first you spread it on your face, then you wait a minute before massaging it into your skin and rinsing it off. i like it, it does its job, it totally gets the bb cream off and it is fragrance free. i recommend this product.




    tonymoly tomatox brightening mask


    omg i fudgin love dis mask~!~! u dampen ur face, apply it liberally w a lil spatula it comes wif, and wait ten minutes before washing it off. it cleans your skin, makes it baby soft and it smells heavenly~! i can instantly notice the difference and it lasts about two days - it makes my skin look vibrant and glowing nd whiter ~! it is soo cool. buy this~! ~smiles~



ok, like i said, i will be adding to the list~! i have a korean eyeliner and eyebrow pencil coming (not etude house_) as well as a lip tint, and i might add the eyelash primer and mascara to the list even though they are not from korea. anyway, if you have any questions, feel free to ask~!

In the shower I use a water activated gel cleanser, then a honey almond body scrub, and on the face an exfoliating gel scrub. Then I apply an herb-mint facial masque which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine.

That sounds like a good set up. As for me, I always use an after shave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

realtalk i use baking soda to clean my hair and scalp and use a gentle vegetable-based castille soap for my groin and armpits and thats it. i get lots of exercise, use sunscreen out in the garden and get plenty of sleep. im beautiful

ya doofus you rinse the baking soda out with cider vinegar while youre in the shower. this is day one shit man. if your hair gets dry or frizzy you can comb a tiny bit of olive oil through it before your shower

My heads is shaved (my own labor) in preparation for the revolution and I require no cleaning products.

Aside from my sweaty parts but for that I just waste tons and tons of water so it works out.

Oh really? Well There is an idea of my hygiene. Some kind of abstraction. But there is no real cleaning routine. Only an entity. Something illusory. And though I can hide my smelly gaze, and you can shake my hand and feel slicked oil gripping yours, and maybe you can even sense our body odors are probably comparable, I simply am not washed.

my hair is hella nappy so i've tended to keep a shaved/buzzed head (ever since abortive attempts w. afro sheen, etc. as a teen) & just use whatever shampoo is at hand. is this racial shame on my part? will i find myself achieving peace with my ethnicity through a comprehensive haircare and skincare regimen?

hahaha as an impressionable and open minded young man i once ordered a jim goad book, the one about how redneck whites experience TRUE oppression in this country. reading it was like um this is p weird but i dunno maybe hes got a point then later i was talking to a black friend of mine about it and he just gave me a dead stare and said boo hoo for the crackers
