Dogs!
your local shelter is most likely overrun with abused and abandoned animals who need nothing more than a home and someone to love them. food too, also water and training. do not get a dog and not feed it! dogs can not live without eating.
already have dogs???
why not get more???
cant get more dogs???????????????????????
donate to aspca! play w/ur current dogs. volunteer at a shelter! who knows.
for truly dogs are the best

i am now running a dogwalking business full time in my neighborhood. i think about dogs probably 12 hours out of every day. i have resisted making a thread about dogs. i have a lot of conflicting feelings about dogs but i can say, city life can be just fine for dogs.
The number one thing i can say about your decision about whether to get a dog, do not underestimate the expense of dog ownership, because its very easy to spend money on dog and very easy to say, i CANT afford this thing, that would actually save me a great deal of expense down the road.

my dog eats better than me, never gets stressed, has more friends than me, and exercises at the park almost every day. I think being a human in the city sounds more miserable
