i wrote a huge post that explained my entire theory that goes into writing the cartoon (since the execution takes about 4 minutes) and the greater theory of LF/WDDP/Rhizzone.
but then I thought
There are multiple facets and I'll discuss the one giant exception to the rule that I've encountered first. In the anti-rape movement any male who shows support is welcomed and celebrated for the cause of actively reducing rape culture. I've been part of several support networks for anti rape, even down to being a designated driver/escort for women on a college campus. Even since college I'll watch during situations in which someone might take advantage of another (drunk, isolation, whatever) and will stay vigilant. You can say "white knight" whatever fuck you, my actions at worst were neutral and at best prevented rape. Reduction of rape culture is vastly important in any society that wants to label itself as free.
However, outside of rape prevention, it seems men are shut out of the discussion. I do resent the MRA movements emergence as it poisons the discourse, but legitimate discourse between genders to establish a society that's egalitarian to all genders must occur.

dude this is the most important part of the discussion and the part that men are the most viable allies in. why would you want to be involved with other parts of the discussion when you're not invited?
basic human nature

but contemporary to the aliens franchise, esp the first two, was a white assault on black communities inspired by just that figure

people here discuss any number of things where they're not directly involved and don't have explicit invitation - international politics and anti-imperialism is the most striking case but not the only one. as long as people aren't being assholes or engaged in eXtReMe time wizardry and are also willing to listen, it's not necessarily a bad thing.
though in my own case, it's more to create space to support more radical positions. it seems stupid and useless to look at the entire spectrum from conservative traditionalism to radical feminism to butlerian genderfuck holocaust and respond with, "hmm, well i could take a stance here, but i wouldnt want to turn my individual subject position into some sort of hegemonic discourse within the phallogocentric power matrix of compulsory heterosexuality".

i'm bout to hulkstress out. i can't even understand what the fuck and you honestly seem like a cool person so... do you really mean to assert that men are kept of anything? jesus fucking christ, men control our right to reproduce and family planning. white men control most of our government at local, state, and federal levels. white men and their viewpoints are disproportionately represented in every form of media. men still aren't close to doing a fair share of the work at home or in child-rearing. that way they have plenty of time to run shit. men still earn more than most women for the same work and have more power because of it. what are you even being left out of? are you talking about local political cliques or what?

fyi the men who "oppress, control and run everything women do" and the men who "desire to enter into honest constructive discourse with feminist women on equal terms" are two entirely different groups of people with separate non-mutual goals

you would know, basement boy.
men in general, no matter where they end up on the pol spectrum, are socialized to participate in whatever they want, be who they want to be, take what they want. talk about anything whether they're experts on the subject or not. the worst feeling in the world is having to attend a work-related meeting in a workplace that is majority male. all of them have to say their little piece, even if it's same as Dickhead 1,2,3, and 4 who spoke before them. a close second is political meetings with men who do the same thing. spergies here can argue that it's people who do this but it's not, it's men who are so sure they everyone wants to hear what they have to say.
the idea that some men are walking around on eggshells about gender topics flies in the face of most any political activity, esp leftist activity on the ground. almost every fucking group i know has about 5 men for every 1 woman. women are lucky if they get to talk about anything except repro rights and even then bros can't shut the fuck up. then, you have the occasional topics that women want to talk about exclusively but even so the familiar male entitlement to any and every thing rears it's head. i'm so sure LS is being silenced by the all powerful female political leadership wherever he is. i guess since it's most likely that men in general, wherever he is, don't give one flying fuck about "gender issues" he feels left out as one of the only men in attendance and even so, can't stand to listen any longer. i'll have to keep angrily speculating until he returns.

1. its "beer gut boy" 2. that doesnt even make sense in context 3. your analysis is inherently non-marxist and therefore wrong 4. hopefully one day youll learn how to properly refocus your anger and recognize how highly counterproductive it is for you to treat men who want to enter into an honest dialog with you on equal terms with more derision and hostility than the men who dismiss the entirety of your concerns out of hand and never even think about them a second time and just go back to silently walking past your campus drum circles on their way to class every day to go earn their business degrees
