Venezuela President Maduro 'survives drone attack'

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-latin-america-45073385

Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro says he has survived an assassination attempt involving explosive drones.

Mr Maduro was speaking at an military event in Caracas when the incident occurred.

Live footage of Mr Maduro's speech shows the president suddenly looking upwards - startled - and dozens of soldiers running away.

Mr Maduro has blamed Colombia for the attack - something denied by Bogota as a "baseless" accusation.

Seven soldiers were injured, and several people were later arrested, the Venezuelan authorities said.

CAn you put the CIA fail in the format of a compilation video so i can understand it better. Thanks in advance
#3
the modern technology we have hasn't advanced yet for the amount of hard drive space we need for a compilation video of CIA fails against Fidel Castro alone.
#4
CIA agent trying to grind down a flight of stairs to poison castro but tripping and smashing balls on railing
#5
Because diehard cynics think everyone's motives are always garbage and respond better to denunciations of incompetence than they do to explaining someone's agenda, there is really no better description of the CIA to offer to people unsure of whether or not to support them in their booj publicity war against Trump than, this is a gang of suits whose bright idea to take back Cuba was to plot to kill Castro with a poison cigar. Because, you know, he's always got that cigar in his mouth in all those photos... Cuba, cigars, it all fits... top-flight intelligence at work here.

above top secret video of CIA assassination training
#8
god damn remembering that the US has "above top secret" for their higher super special security clearance above Top Secret because some 5 star general watched spinal tap and fireworks went off in his brain
#9
Top Secret is a stupid term anyway, it should be Most Secret
#10
then we'd have More Most Secret. it's turtles all the way down, my friend.
#11
congratulations to ACME for having started making drones

Check out CNN dot com right now if you want to see a bunch of headlines about “alleged” or “apparent” assassination attempts leading a video of flying robots exploding over Maduro and his wife & stories with eyewitness accounts from the neighborhood where it happened. Granted, journalists still need to rule out the possibility that someone accidentally drove the robots insane by forcing them to feel the illogical human emotion known as “love”.

are we entirely sure that it wasnt just a bunch of bougie ablist-slurs who were radicalized by cnn agitprop and bought drones off amazon. ultimate in outsourcing
#16
the cia can't even kill maduro, lmao

Minor thing but I've noticed on reddit only a mass push to "raise awareness" about the student protests in Bangladesh. It's really transparent in its astroturf nature and explicit appeal to white liberals but I'm not sure why or what the end goal is. I assume Western capital is involved because the same model is used for reactionary propaganda about Venezuela which is dominant on reddit. Like, yeah reddit sucks, but you can post about any country and be mostly left alone, but if you post about Venezuela hundreds of fascists will swarm you no matter the day or time. I'll be interested when studies come out about how different social media websites were manipulated in different ways and who was involved.

the violence against kids is quite real.

Thousands of students paralysed parts of Bangladesh's capital on Sunday to protest the country's abysmal road safety conditions. Teenagers dressed in school uniforms erected checkpoints across the city, forcing the police and government ministers to observe traffic laws that are otherwise poorly enforced.
The protests started nearly a week ago after two students were killed and 12 others wounded when a bus plowed into a bus stop on July 29. The driver had lost control of his vehicle while racing another bus to pick up passengers, a common occurrence in Bangladesh, where dozens of poorly regulated private transportation companies vie for customers.
The protests intensified on Sunday when university students joined the middle and high school students who have led the movement so far. The newcomers joined in solidarity after a pro-government student union joined the police's ranks and clashed with protesters on Saturday and Sunday. Armed with scraps of metal and thick, gnarled tree branches, pro-government student protesters attacked and wounded five photojournalists, including a photographer from The Associated Press. At least 200 people have been wounded in the protests.
Police used tear gas and batons to subdue demonstrators and shut, or slowed down, access to the internet in several areas to curb protest participation and information flow.
Unconfirmed reports said four male students were killed and four female students were raped during the clashes. Photographs, including one of a dead student in his uniform, are too graphic to show. Students have blamed the pro-government student union associated with the ruling Awami League party, the Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), for the violence.

the hashtag #wewantjustice was circulated on k-pop twitter before being picked up by others. the person who first made a thread on twitter has protected their account. here's a link to a folder on google drive if anyone wants to verify the gory details. the government is now considering capital punishment for hit-and-runs. the anglo media only noticed it when the american ambassador's convoy was attacked by BCL.

predictably, every article google wants to show are the ones leading off with "opposition claims attack was false flag," "experts warn suspiciously nonlethal attack will serve as pretext for purge," "weeping, red-faced maduro to be extra evil after alleged drone hurt his wiw fee-fees"
#22
The New York Times is speculating that Maduro flew a bomb at his wife for likes and subscribes. I, for one, believe it, because when you're at the store and you're like, May I take my leave and search for robust but sensible snow chains? and your wife is all like *raises hands in alarm as killer drone explodes overhead* Yeah this guy over here knows, look at that T-shirt, she didn't pick out that shirt did you ma'am.

i thought all the articles with 'attack' in quotes like that in addition to 'assassination attempt' were pretty shockingly bad but then the nyt and thinkprogress doing that alex jones level analysis about false flags really outdid themselves

there were mainstream news articles calling that a false flag at first too. it is absolutely amazing how US-policy centered all reporting on venezuela is.
