I don't read most of the threads to be honest but I think the website should be deleted and German Joey should sell the domain to a cybersquatter and use the money to recoup some of his losses.

where else should we go? it might not be perfect, and obviously it has had some flawed individuals, but are there any other forums worth anything?
it's not a rhetorical question. whichever this places failings, it still has plenty of good individuals who are smart and patient. self-criticism is fine, but to the end of suicide? that would be reactionary suicide, "the reaction of a man who takes his own life in response to social conditions that overwhelm him and condemn him to helplessness" (revolutionary suicide, pg 2).
i think we should continue on, using these recent hardships to better steel ourselves, to self-criticise with greater effectiveness. the forum may die one day, but let it come from outside forces. let us continue to speak and write radically, attempt to grow and criticise our current travails with increasing knowledge, to rid ourselves of reactionaries, taking what little good we can from them.
to quote Huey P. Newton further, "only resistance can destroy the pressures that cause reactionary suicide" (ibid pg 6). to continue on, "conveys an awareness of reality in combination with the possibility of hope- reality because a revolutionary must always be prepared to face death" or hardship like comrades failing themselves and the revolution, "and hope because it symbolizes a resolute determination to bring about change...Chairman Mao says that death comes to all of us, but it varies in its significance: to die for the reactionary is lighter than a feather; to die for the revolution is heavier than Mount Tai." (ibid)
so no, i do not think the forum should be shut down because of recent hardship. so long as mods are responsive to calls to eliminate the hopelessly reactionary, we should continue on.

im happy to stay on mod duty unless there is any objection. in summary ive limited my actions to only ifapping disruptive posters or enacting consensus and have no beefs with active posters.

im usually too busy/private to post extensively but i read every thread daily.

i suppose this site is the closest i get to participating in any social media, and tbh I wouldn't have it any other way... i feel a great amount of affection for you all.

casting my vote for immediate deletion of the site and self-immolation of all posters, but if we don't do that, then yes tears seems like a good option

swampman and gssh i know you are happy to continue but in the interest of cycling fresh blood in and giving yourselves a mental break from the role, do either one of you want to take a break for a while?

i know personally i post less, and less freely, now that i have admin powers. not that it's a huge loss
