Is it worth our time to organize intellectual spaces on the internet, where impotence reigns supreme through its many forms? The clowning of self-irony, the jouissance of politically correct guilt, phrase-mongering like this rushed out thread, and the looming sword over our heads which is the reality of the rising alt-right and right wing populists? The Bolsheviks committed themselves selflessly to debates which raged for hours, where nothing sacred could withstand the scrutiny of criticism and critical thought, physically and emotionally drained they would warm themselves after with the fire which communist self-discipline kindles, and then do it all over again the following days. Theory was forged through the purging flames which liberals retreat from all the while fascinated by it, the opportunists sacked Berlin and left her treasures bare for the fascists, but principled communists stood firm and did the impossible.

Is our communism then just to be a roleplay identity, our calls for revolution only managing to excite the pre-teen and outcast from their wretched mediocrity? We have lost our voice among the masses, and we laud those who believe the fantasy of their own identity politics. On all forums the left is in retreat, promising to continue their action in real life, and this should be applauded. Why have we banished ourselves from the most advanced forms of communication that a globalist society provides, why have we gone into exile in the new commons of the 21st century? In the economy of desire which is the internet 2.0 culture of video gaming, free porn, degenerate filth, ceaseless masturbation what shall we redeem with our discipline?

Rhizzone in this regard is not unique for it too possess the castrating voice which is irony, 'small caps text and no eliteest gram@r' which never expected to be taken seriously to begin with. If there is something to be reborn about the internet it will not be memes, nor allowing others to think for you. We strive for self-consciousness, to elevate the meek and the abused from their crushed position by eliminating the notion of positions all together. If all the working and unemployed, the included and excluded, the proletarians and precariats of the world possessed class consciousness, capitalism would be over. We have thought to laugh it all away in regards to the retreat of the left, the rise of nationalists (like in Russia), islamofascists and literal neo-fascists, but when will we stop laughing? When will we realize that unlike the alt-right, our laughter has limits, and we will not get the last laugh? The only language our enemies understand and should be allowed to articulate is the terrified shriek of a frightened animal.

So what language means something for the proletariat of the 21st century? Do the cultish newspaper hawking Sparts and others with their Marxist-Leninist-Maoist-Etc, even pass off as anything other than reactionaries (wanting to return to 20th century conditions and theory)? Or how about us, with our bashful reaction to real people trying to read and understand our rhetoric and internet identities, have we forgotten the words of Robespierre? Only the guilty blush, the innocent are ashamed of nothing.

So at the end of this polemic I invite anyone who is left to consider taking themselves seriously and entering into debate with leftists on discord. If you have the free time unburdened by the hectic schedule of uncertain working hours, multiple jobs, after hours phone calls and e-mails, a self-imposed video gaming regime, drugs, and retreat, then I welcome you to join us. When we accept the norm and the most popular and accepted way of expressing ourselves, my god, have we forgotten our role as the avant-garde? Those who smash all, subject all to the same treatment, and forge the intellectual mode with the proletariat and damned for positively expressing themselves? For being strong, dignified, and powerful. This is our legacy, we can choose to laugh at it and keep laughing, but eventually we will be forced to face the sober reality that is the degrading liberal order, and the forces of reaction behind it.

There is not an active communist movement we can point to (in the West, with exceptions like PSUV or Syriza, etc), nor an international and truly global worker's movement, there is not even an intellectual movement to question the foundations of 21st century society and its conditions. We should pick up where we left off here, then, and revive the sleeping giant which was the merger of Marxism with the worker's movement. More info will be provided in discord and so on.

ok so i wasn't able to read this other than the bolded text because my eyes kept sliding off the page in horror, so a friend offered to read it out loud to me.

having had this read to me: consider, OP, that you doth protest too much, and most of the rest of us still here are already busy with concrete tasks, scholarship, and IRL organizing. when you talk about mythologized lengthy bolshevik debates, you speak like someone who has never engaged in an actual political body, never had to hash out an actual disagreement. never experienced the exhaustion of a policy argument that goes on for hours. maybe go outside, meet some people, work on something together, and try it. save yourself, we're all good.

This thread was just to modestly invite forum posters into an IRC style chat (discord) which is exploding in popularity and will probably replace or at least marginalize forums in the future. That this is enough to offend you doesn't surprise me, asking Leftists akin to Zizek's call "Don't Act. Just Think" to engage in theory and philosophic controversies is already enough to destabilize the philistine foundations of leftist folk-politic and community organizing. The point is that this in itself is never enough, and there will have to be a bridge between spontaneous expressions of popular discontent and the systematic theory and long term strategy of a communist intellectual vanguard. This won't happen in a vulgar sense because of 'material conditions', but of the subjective dispositions of people in seriously engaging with communist theory. In taking time out of their day and acting 'outside the norm;' norms which are established by the ruling classes in society and signify people's faith in the current state of things, that they cannot be questioned or overcome.

oh my god dude "go outside and work with people irl" doesn't exclude doing theory or thinking strategically. get the fuck over the shitty faux-vanguard excuses you tell yourself and actually learn something.

it's probably too late. i'm sorry. we're all sorry. RIP, prodromal baby.

sometimes i have questions about marxism leninism and it would be cool to hear somebody explain what some things mean in verbal but the OP really kills the whole "hey heres a place to chat about some stuff" idea by issuing what appears like a challenge to the posters here instead of an invite to whoever might be inclined but thats just my .02 rubles

lol, there's more of a chance of discord channel #102320089 slipping under the radar than an explicitly stalinist forum that probably used to store passwords unhashed on its server and whose first frontpage article is a defense of the dprk
