wow, weird, i did it. please enjoy your new differently-ugly front page and article pages

edit: it will get better/worse over time, etc, but i will probably ignore it for a while in favour of getting registration working. it's very bare bones and there's not much going on, especially in the archive pages. idk. it's a start

edit 2: i also fixed access for browsers/users that are set to request non-english versions of websites. some random things will be translated in your language because the translations are built-in to the stuff we use, and also i added some extra translations for french because i found it entertaining.

It's pretty good. a lot better on the phone also, it looks like it was designed for mobile display on purpose.

One minor change though, the text on the article boxes should have shadowing, because light text on light image backgrounds is difficult to read and makes it all a blur. I am admittedly colorblind though, so it may be fine for normies and not be a problem for most, and primarily only affects those CAMAB. But just glancing at the front page I can't readily make out the title of the Tsavina post or the tuppins one following it unless i highlight the text for contrast.

you have also clearly misspelled "tHE" which was an important part of our HEritage and a flag to the world that we are posting under a male dominated white power structure

i'm really glad it looks good on a real phone. i used Chrome's mobile simulator thing and i wasn't sure how accurate it was and i never checked the design on my phone once because setting up my phone to connect to a test site is Difficult

the colour thing makes sense. it isn't really great for people without colour blindness either, on those two articles, i went back and forth a lot about it. i just made it darker and checked it out with a colour-blindness simulator and it looks better.

i also made articles slightly narrower. narrow articles are more readable, but if they're too narrow it just looks like mc.. i forget the name of it, the pretentious thing, mcwhatever, you know what i mean.

i stared a lot at 'tHE' and went with my heart. i understand you may want to fight with me about it, but i think it looks better this way. if everyone universally hates it i will give in tho.

thanks for saying it looks good everyone! i haven't done anything designy in like 10 or 12 years so this is cool.

What you have up is not right.. you have to make it match this exactly. You can highlight the text and right click to bring up a menu that will allow you to copy and paste it directly into the internet software

p.s. if anyone finds a higher resolution image for the background of any article headers - i only did four or five myself - just link them here and i'll replace them, it's very easy and it looks good imo

Can we ban pcs so the website is only accessible by phone? I feel like thats a forward thinking change that will help us reach out to a 2016 audience . Remember most chinese party members and other red comrades dont own computers but most have phones.

for some reason when i was testing the end-of-article links to other related articles & by the same author i kept using this as my test subject http://www.rhizzone.net/article/2014/08/27/oaks-ald-now-they-lie-peat/ and scrolling all the way to the bottom of the article each time over and over and i don't think i will ever be the same

My current tower has to face a certain direction so the heat sink apparatus is toward me and the vents are toward the open window so I dont fry my calves with radiation because the lead lined bathrobe I ordered was much shorter than advertised... one star

I actually looked into that. I did some statistical analysis queries on the database, to find out which of us is the greatest poster of all time, using a formula which is too complex to describe in mere posts.

One poster came to the top, no matter what variables I chose.
