the Nordic model has tons of problems of its own but it's still the best thing we've got. abolition is essential but it obv won't truly happen until people who are doing prostitution to survive truly have alternatives...enforcement priorities need to be set somehow so that prostitutes are the ones who decide who to prioritize and pursue. the cops are gonna be the ones deciding though

i mean yeah thats the idea but the thing i vaguely remember was sort of like "well even in spite of this, for some reason violence against women is increasing". maybe something like, pimps being illegal means more pressure on the prostitutes who still rely on them for money even though in theory they can call the cops "without repercussions". this isn't what i remember finding originally, but it was making similar points so it probably cited similar things, and i have no idea how valid any of it is.

How about a program to reimburse sex workers for lost income? That definatley would stop them from having sex with people for money and would do more than the preferred method of social media integrated police stings.

equality under the law is a failed experiment anyways, lawmakers need to recognize it is and always was a weapon for certain groups to use against others. the point of nordic models is to put a weapon into prostitutes hands. of course it doesn't actually pan out that way yet cos of bourgeois notions of justice but fingers crossed
