id probably trade the revolution for some consumerist virtual reality if it got me laid. at least cyber-laid.

im pretty sure this has been going on for all time and that google glasses have little to no effect on whether this happens/works
roseweird posted:i smoke too much to dream about anything ever, i sleep in cold soft empty darkness night after night

getfiscal posted:i told my dad to ask about tax credits related to disabilities. so he asked his accountants and they ludicrously just told him all the credits that could possibly apply to someone with a disability and then told him he was going to save $1,000 on his taxes because of his failson. but the credits are for like people who are blind or severely retarded and shit. and it's not just a fraud thing because i'd need a doctor to be like yeah he requires a caregiver and obviously OBVIOUSLY he's not going to say that hahaha. so now my dad is going to get mad at me for raining on the parade lol.
Idk about Canada but this is for real an interesting trap in the U.S., where the only way to get necessary aid is to drastically exaggerate disabilities with the complicit aid of physicians and care workers and legal aid workers and so on
getfiscal posted:yeah. i might apply for disability payments again soon and that happened to me last time. they almost automatically reject you and you have to fight it at a tribunal. i'm also concerned it will destroy my credit somehow. i'm talking to a social worker on thursday.
good and let me know how it goes. In the U.S. those folks will usually help you game the system if you do a little research on your own, something you are equipped to do.
dank_xiaopeng posted:seriously, i don't see how people live in such abject fear of gorgle ass, most people live their lives almost entirely mediated through the screens of their phones already
probably because google ass removes the illusion(?) that the smartphone user is purely a voyeur and not the voyeurised

i feel like this would be the text of a panel in a new york times piece on your loft in brooklyn and you would have a lot of white furniture.
