hmmm well yes, a difference of one upvote may not seem like much, and indeed, it isn't. but i can make a lot more pithy one-liners a lot more quickly than i can a serious effort post. the sheer volume of my posts eventually brings in more upvotes than i could ever make serious posting. furthermore, while serious posting may be more rewarding or fufilling, like how irl i only care about money, here i only care about upvotes.
