Edit: a shock photo of a totally otherized human being
people tend to think that this depravity is something which has forever existed inside of humans and which our society nobly contains. which is obviously bullshit. anyone would naturally be horrified by these images and their context. likewise, they would naturally be saddened to see something beautiful destroyed by violence. there is nothing natural about celebrating something like this. man will naturally celebrate things that are beautiful: births, bounties, love ect. no natural people revel in death as we do. we live in a godless amoral society that occludes and disfigures everything natural and beautiful about the human soul .
our society is simply a profane dream given form. its something that never should have existed.

sorry pal gaddafi was an ASSHOLE hahahahahahaha
The reason people are happy for his downfall is the same reason you would be happy for the violent killing and display of the heads of the United States and its allies. I've listened to too much hateful rhetoric from LFers to believe that you simply don't have the stomach for a little blood. So let's try to be consistent.
What it comes down to is whether you revere or condemn the man. Most people condemn him as a tyrant, so they celebrate his death. But you reverse the polarities and saw him as one of the people standing up to the inevitable scourge of Western imperialism. Well, most people support Western imperialism, if that's what you want to call getting rid of dictators and terrorists.

its becoming more and more clear to me as i get older that there's something fundamentally impossible about a species that evolved through an inextricably antagonistic model to become anything really decent, and that there's a line drawn somewhere on the evolution chart where any planet's dominant species develops the capacity to destroy itself but does not yet possess the wisdom to keep from doing it and i can't imagine a scenario where any flesh and blood thing actually passes that line and becomes something greater than the sum of its barbaric asshole parts
if you want to feel a little better just keep in mind that just one or two centuries ago there was effectively nobody on the earth who would find distasteful the prospect of cheering at a bad person's death

exactly. the idea of rules to warfare is possibly one of the funniest things imaginable and is obviously a form of chauvinism, and extremely hypocritical to boot

Men, women and children lined up to view the body, which was laid out on a mattress on the floor of an emptied-out vegetable freezer.
