you know how sometimes when you sit in a specific spot in your room certain bass notes seem to be disproportionately louder than others and then if you move your head a little it gets (mostly) balanced again?

yeah.

one day while i was sitting on the toilet in my college dorm and humming i noticed there was a certain note that made the entire room reverberate really loudly, so id do it to amuse myself whenever i had to take a shit, until one day someone else in there was like "wtf" and i told them about harmonic resonance and then they started doing it and showing other dudes and eventually it got to the point where whenever you walked down the hall on my floor you could tell if someone was taking a poop from the beautiful whalesong emanating from the walls

never made quiche before, but yeah i would carmelize the onions first probably

#16
also mine was the only floor not to ever suffer from frequent poop-related vandalisms and i like to think it was due to the brotherhood and camaraderie of the bathroom-centric community bonds i helped create

you would wouldn't you

also suprabound room modes are distinctly different from super-modal resonant frequencies like geez dude, a resonant frequency would resonate at the same amplitude across the acoustic space while modal frequencies would be amplified at certain spots in the room according to where the stationary bass frequencies intersect in a 3d space. that's why concert halls are both very big and assymetric in shape.
