"We came, we saw, he died," she joked when told of news reports of Qaddafi's death by an aide in between formal interviews.

considering the fact that i will be several score thousand in totally undischargable debt in two years, doesn't it make sense to spend that time and money arguing with morons about a topic that would never be relevant to any paying job in the history of time
It is actually worthwhile in that it strengthens your resolve.

if i knew then what i know now i would rack up as much debt as possible and get some kind of engineering degree while focusing every one of my electives on foreign language so when i got out i could flee this bitch and never come back
Don't be silly, software is always looking for more programmers. You can start now; you'll be intermediate in a year or two, after working an entry-level job.

I have a job but lol software. Work at mickey d's before you do entry level software almost anywhere. You'll get paid more per hour and the employees are cooler and you won't have some arch nerd breathing down your neck

That's just silly. McDonald's has the absolute bottom of society. Terrible losers. Software has people of some intelligence. Your coworkers are infinitely better in software, because they aren't literal retards.

The honest fact, is that many, probably the majority of people in the world, have bought into Imperialism enough to cheer the fall of our Brother and the re-colonisation of Africa. Many groups I named, I truly believe don't buy into Imperialism, they're just opportunistic, and many are opportunistic enough to at least try and curry favour with the winning side. Nothing can erase the past 42 years, they can on-paper reverse it, but they can't erase it. Libya went from the poorest country in the world to the wealthiest in its continent, with free education, healthcare and guaranteed housing and food. In all likelihood, given enough time, people will remember that much more fondly than what the rebels have brought in warfare and chaos and genocide.

"The Libyan people - said the NTC chairman - know perfectly that the period of Italian colonialism went together with an era of great infrastructure building and development". And indeed "everyone knows the great buildings in Tripoli, Benghazi and other towns are Italian buildings. We think the law went its natural way in that period, fair causes, fair trials. And there was agricultural development". On the other hand, the Gaddafi period "was the exact opposite - Jalil stated calmly but firmly - all the values and principles were demolished, brought upside down. The Libyan resources were never used for the Libyan people. All the errors notwithstanding, colonialism can never be compared to Gaddafi".
then i guess 'everyone' is in for a treat!

It is no surprise Jalil would praise the Italians who have helped bring him into state-power. There is a typical rule, that you should be loyal to those who are loyal to you, a favour for a favour. Unfortunately, it seems only implemented by some, it is a shame that Iran, South Africa, the IRA, PLO and others don't return the loyalty and favours of Brother Qadhafi.
BRICS & other hitlisted nations defo need an effective mutual defence pact (the shanghai cooperation treaty might perform this role), esp since nato has dropped any pretense of binding to international law
