if england finish second in their group they're most likely to play spain in the quarter finals.

i'm really mad at the f*cking ref messing with greece. He must Die.
hell yeah
Greece owns. Death to Russia
ref didn't give: penalty to greece, 1 red & 1 (at least) yellow card to russia
did give: 1 yellow card to greece instead of the penalty, meaning karagunis misses next match.
what a bastard

Can't wait for the Germany vs. Spain final

spains gonna get such a mugging
Overall, Germany's technical and fundamental skill level has been absolutely phenomenal. From what I've seen, their first touches are the cleanest and best in the tournament. The striking of the ball for passes has been incredible too. Always hitting the ball at the 60% mark (very top of the ball being 100% and bottom 0%) for the ball to always roll and glide smoothly and seamlessly across the pitch, which in turn makes the receiving player's first touch much easier to handle and with less fuck ups, etc.
The play making from Özil et al in the middle has been great. With all the fundamentals and technical aspects down pat, they're able to generate lots of play of 1-2s (give and goes) and through balls right up the middle. And Sami Khedira has been awesome as well.
Probably most importantly, they're the only team that can actually finish and keep their shots on goal. We saw how in the England vs. Italy game where Italy had like 2 shots on target and something like 20 blasted over the goal.
The only thing I haven't been impressed with is their defense. Their defense has been rather shaky, but then again maybe they just haven't given much of a fuck because of the past couple teams they've played? Lahm is a beast, though, so we'll see.
Spain has been playing utterly boring and unimaginative football this whole tournament (surprise surprise). They can't finish for shit and they've been so goddamn lucky not to have lost yet. Seriously... There were two hand balls in the box yesterday from Spain and not a single one was called. Same in the Croatia vs. Spain game where Spain committed 3 blatant fouls in the box, but again, the official didn't call them. (The refs were all chosen by the head of the Spanish Football Association, so go figure).
I expect Spain's strategy to basically be exactly what they've been doing: massive possession in the midfield and when they get to the edge of the box to dribble it in, not to try to score a goal, but to draw a foul and get a penalty. Germany will need to just pressure and go at them. Spain doesn't really know how to react when another team does this to them and they kind of freeze up, as seen in yesterday's game against Portugal.
But Germany has to beat Italy today before we can get to an epic Germany vs. Spain round 2 battle royale final.
just my 2 cent observations

yeah id expect a ger-esp final to be a replay of por-esp semi but at double speed and with players who can finish. if ronaldo had stopped choking for all of 2 minutes he could have won it for them - and thats not a problem the german forwards are familiar with
