Now don't get me wrong, I really wish DM all the best and do not want to see him come to any harm, self inflicted or otherwise, but let's just get this straight: dude is bananas.

i dunno, while this video is so awful it's offensive to the senses, hearing zizek denigrate marxist lenism is more offensive i think...

yeah, it's just not going to be possible to explain, though i want to thank some people that i'm not going to name for coming up with certain good ideas that helped. there really is a friend that i had confused with lungfish. i had some help with that confusion but i'm not clear on the nature of it and it doesn't matter at this point.
the best i can do to explain some things is to post my latest diagnosis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complex_post-traumatic_stress_disorder
i'm not psychotic or anything, but i can get kinda confused sometimes with the dissociative stuff. the reason i was acting the way i did was the feeling of stigmatization and loss of control. if confusing things are happening and it feels like you don't have control over them, it can feel like somebody else does to a much more significant extent than they actually do.
i'm back to "normal" as far as normal goes for me and all of this stuff has been pretty unusual, but i'm still sort of like permanently damaged emotionally. it's a good thing the friend i have doesn't post here because she's been at her limits putting up with me lately without forum stuff.

no, i was seriously confused as hell and it was Not Good. this is why i've been classified as disabled. the insurance company does its thing and routinely tries to find reasons to stop paying so i have to send them letters from my psychiatrist saying that i'm incapable of working and shit every so often. it's not fun, it's humiliating and sucks a lot and i'm really sick of it

thanks! i do try to be as understanding as i can be and she's a really good influence on me in general. my friend is in a relationship with someone else at the moment and i'm definitely not going to be ready for a while still, but we're really compatible in principle.
i'm hoping she'll be available when i am ready. if not, then it's just like you said and she'll still be an important friend to me
Before the episode was written, much of the cast of Seinfeld (including Wayne Knight) had been to Soup Kitchen International. After "The Soup Nazi" had aired, Seinfeld and several writers went to Yeganeh's soup stand for lunch. Upon recognizing Seinfeld, Yeganeh launched into a profanity-laced rant about how "The Soup Nazi" episode had "ruined his life," and he demanded an apology. Seinfeld gave what show writer Spike Feresten described as "the most sarcastic, insincere apology" he'd ever heard. Yeganeh bellowed "No soup for you!" and ejected Seinfeld and his friends from the restaurant.
According to Nora Ephron's DVD commentary, the first pop culture reference to Yeganeh (though not by name) seems to have come years before the Seinfeld episode, in the 1993 movie Sleepless in Seattle. In the film, a magazine writer discusses writing a story: "This man sells the greatest soup you have ever eaten, and he is the meanest man in America. I feel very strongly about this, Becky; it's not just about the soup."

thanks, you definitely did the right thing and i appreciate it. the name stuff helped too. i wish i had been better able to respond to the help sorting stuff out you tried to give me earlier. what i had needed was the appropriate description i guess

if it makes you feel any better, the only reason you find this to be more humiliating than working for a living is because you and everyone else has been socially conditioned since birth to subconsciously normalize wage slavery. Theft and handout-taking is the only rational response to a capitalist society

yeah, uhhh.....dont do this. You will necessarily become completely emotionally dependent on her, the power dynamic will be totally off, you will never exist as equals, and when she eventually leaves you will be instantly plunged into a suicidal abyss. Dont date your therapist
