the gifted program at my school was actually far more well-adjusted than the normal kids, everyone played sports competitively, read books, dated, had social lives, were relatively nice and accepting, etc.

there were a few kids who played fallout and watched anime but they were the type of kids who were charismatic and loud about their intelligence and would probably go on to yale & places like that. in fact one of them did
