I serve the elite by employing my wide reading and teaching experience to get their kids good grades and admission to elite universities. I perpetuate the ruling class. Soon I'll finish my doctorate so that I can serve their interests more fully in a high-benefit-to-cost field, protected from the war being waged on the humanities.
