I learned a thing today time to go back to bed while I'm ahead, thanks.

The axe often represents the power over life or death through the death penalty

Nah I just read a book by a Croatian woman called “They wouldn’t hurt a fly”, about the trials in the Hague. It was pretty good and she mentioned some pretty interesting video evidence at Srebrenica (like Mladic threatening the shit out of the Dutch commander) so I looked at it on youtube and found excerpts from the death of Yugoslavia, which I downloaded.

It’s some of the most compelling TV I’ve seen in a while, I almost spat my beer out when Sloba first appeared as a talking head. Maybe this is ignorant of me but I didn’t realize just how much documentation of the breakdown and subsequent war there was. The games and powerplays that Milosovic and others were playing at those party conferences and state councils are breathtaking to watch.

getting this thread back on topic

But to get back on topic, labor cannot harness the info revolution because they are segregated from ownership of info revolution technology, by way of them being extremely poor. Arming the proletariat with smart phones instead of guns might be the best way to empower them.

hahaha yes it's completely ridiculous how all these really really important council meetings are on video from multiple angles, national leaders telling each other to go to hell on live tv

and all the serbian paramilitaries just welcoming in cameras while they ethnically cleanse villages

Sweet, i'll check it out after i've finished this series, I honestly don't know enough at the moment to pass judgement on the West's involvement. The blurb says it has a bunch of rare, never before seen stock footage and if there's one thing i fucking love it's old footage*

propose a system by which everyone gets a tag denoting their various minority statuses (black, woman, trans, disabled, depressed 1st world alcoholic etc.) so people can immediately identity who has more privilege in any discussion and downvote all their posts accordingly

do this without a hint of irony and see how many people you can get to agree

I just remember one thread that she didn't like so she started quoting everyone and doing the sarcastic "HAHA YEAH FUCK THOSE VAPID CUNTS!!!" thing, just over and over for pages until the whole thread was unsalvagable. you could say she was.. strawmanning to a ridiculous degree???

the gaslighting thread was a turning point for wddp because in a moment telling the mentally ill that they are, in fact, mentally ill suddenly became ciscrackkker privilege at its worst
