The executive officer of internal affairs in the Norfolk Police Dept. donated $25 to Kyle Rittenhouse with a message:

with the exalted authority of a rhizzone admin I am hereby making an official statement asking "someone" to "do something" about the cops in a very subtle not legally actionable nod to Chris Dorner

lol it’s kinda ironic that the operating norms of the US carceral system is leading them to torturing a member of their protected lumpen class.

for those not in the know the notoriously corrupt and genocidal RCMP run themselves like a business selling their protection to municipalities as part of a brilliant neoliberalized strategy to recoup costs spent on terrorizing indigenous communities and framing environmentalists for bombings they did.
their monopoly on incompetent psychopaths that you have to hire for some reason threatened, they have come up with a genius plan: try to trademark the concept of police
for context: https://www.rt.com/usa/539718-rittenhouse-witness-grosskreutz-self-defense/
Almost certainly some off-doodies got to Witness Lad and "convinced" him through oinks and pantomime that he could either switch sides or face prosecution, or maybe just non-stop harassment, after the Rittenhouse trial, for some endless string of related or unrelated charges. (E.g. threatening charges of possession of child pornography if the cops somehow got their hands on any phone, laptop, etc., of the witness's that night, claiming whatever innocuous 96x96 thumbnail in his browser cache is enough to investigate further.) The defense probably didn't need to talk them into intimidating the witness, either, but the witness surprise-delivering exactly the answers the defense team wants and needs looks pretty damning to me in terms of their direct involvement.
I suppose there's the alternate possibility that the witness was Ap Lant to begin with, but that seems unlikely and unnecessary... Like, the cops seed street actions but afaik they have not become superhuman prophets able to presage which steamed teen was about to start spraying lead, nor did they likely have an army of plants covering every armed right-wing rando just in case someone needed to claim self-defense later. Threatening a witness is easier.

YOU DIED LONG BEFORE I WAS BORN BUT I STILL FEEL YOU ARE A BROTHER AS I DO EVERY OTHER OFFICER WHO HAS DIED DOING WHAT WE DO. I PRAY FOR YOUR FAMILY AND EVERY OTHER FAMILY WHO HAS LOST AN OFFICER. YOU ARE TRUELY A HERO IN MY EYES.

the governor of Texas just ordered them to round up the immigrants. Mysteriously this man is able to ignore the Supreme Court which said this is illegal, none know the secret of his mystical powers.
