comrade, key to the story of Tetris is how the people who made it did not seek to profit from it when it became popular, because they knew a game produced in their free time on Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union hardware was not "theirs" any more than it belonged to any other person in the USSR. A couple grifters outside the Soviet Union then stole Tetris, a game already freely available on multiple platforms, and attempted to negotiate sales rights to it in foreign markets, rights that weren't theirs to license or sell. Those rights properly belonged to a bureau within the Soviet state and had never been licensed by the USSR to any private company anywhere. When the Western companies fighting over foreign distribution found out the truth, and those grifters were brought to heel, the lead creator of Tetris arrived at the table on the side of the Soviet officials themselves. He later acquired the rights to the game legally and only when the USSR sold them off in the years of its collapse, at which point it was likely either going to be him or a multinational company such as Atari or Nintendo that ended up owning Tetris. Slander of the people's accomplishments during any era of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics will not be tolerated on tHE r H i z z o n E.

the Tetris development process is possibly the only fully justifiable one for any video game in a socialist state, a freely distributed leisure-time product made by the workers themselves to utilize efficiently extra cycles on the people's hardware otherwise dedicated to critical tasks performed by those same workers, i.e., developed by those directly aware of the resources they could spare to make a computer game that's fun, challenging and objectively beneficial to the human brain, while still serving the needs of the people in their roles as scientists
