So, Ms. Fluke and the rest of you feminazis, here’s the deal: If we are going to pay for your contraceptives and thus pay for you to have sex, we want something for it.
And I’ll tell you what it is. We want you to post the videos online so we can all watch.
rush limbaugh likely gets boatloads of viagra through his healthcare provider so im awaiting his incoming sex video its gonna be hawt as hell when we see him raping those 13 year old dominican boyz

It's cool how easy it is for political prties to invent an issue, like all of sudden contraception is really controversial! Now the country is magically polarized into R and D
this is why, despite its faults, all else equal I will still cast my precious vote for the democratic party, albeit with hesitation
Limbaugh is pathetic but maybe they could learn something from his appeal to personal responsibility.

yeah amazing how the economy has disappeared behind contraception, abortion, republican said a thing within like a week. i'd say americans are like sheep but most americans don't even vote or care about this puppet show at all.
obama just proposed cutting the corporate income tax rate
just because we acknowledge a republican said a thing doesn't mean we ignore how much american liberalism is shit.

Nope, if you attack Rush over this you are simply feeding the liberal monster.

it's amazing that "leftists" can know something is designed to distract them from the systematic issues, know what they're viewing is theater, know that conservatives and democrats are the two sides of the same coin, and still fall for all of it.
it's like the weirdest form of faith, knowing it's not true but still choosing to believe.

this whole story is about nothing more than someone doing something the other side also does all the time. getting mad at rush for being uncouth and demanding he leave the air doesn't do a thing to address any serious issues

that wddp thread where various "leftists" were defending voting for obama and screaming at anyone who laughed at them as being privileged enough to not vote based on emotion or something was fascinating. far more disturbing than liberals who genuinely believe obama is doing good things and that rush limbaugh matters, it's like people reading an onion article and knowing it's fake but still believing it's real through cognitive dissonance and then getting upset and insulting anyone who might break the dissonance.
when was this i want to read it

putting aside the amusing question of men deciding whether or not misogynistic culture is a "serious issue", its also equally true that not being mad at rush and not demanding he leave the air equally doesn't do anything to address any so-called "serious issues". feed the liberal monster, or feed the conservative monster. maybe theres strategic benefit to one of the paths, maybe there isn't. at any rate just consider it to be an inconsequential hobby of mine to wish to see rush limbaugh taken off the air. everyone needs a hobby
actually this issue, the contraception issue which was created from nothing and is such an obvious bipartisan creation to rile up the right wing for the primaries and the liberals for obama, and every fox news said a thing have completely hijacked the discourse and the election which was as of last week about income inequality, poverty and economic justice, and anti-imperialism wrt Iran. You know, things that matter and deserve your attention and anger. Do you get angry at someone in a TV show saying something offensive? Why is Rush Limbaugh, fat drugged up idiot on AM radio, any more relevant to the bipartisan capitalist elite?

i fail to see how a clear analysis of the obvious function this outrage serves and it's manufacturing by both sides for their respective bases is somehow invalidated because im a man

that's always going to happen so long as you're depending on commercial media for your discourse. i dont presume to know what you talk about, or to who, but i myself haven't had any specific problems related to this manufactured outrage in the last week in talking to people about things that matter.

someone can be secure enough in their beliefs, informed enough about systemic issues and realize everything they see is theatre and still enjoy some element of the spectacle. the audacity and absurdity of shit can be amusing, I think it's silly to pretend to be some super revolutionary that's above it all.
criticizing the right wing puppet show, especially people like limbaugh, palin, santorum, o'reilly, basically PEOPLE WHO DO NOT MATTER, serves this same function. no surprise that the "leftists" who criticize obama based on emotion and personal struggle without a systematic understanding end up begrudgingly voting for him.

its not invalidated exactly its just incomplete. in your other post which i have just replied to you seem to indicate that you consider the media as potentially able to be a positive force in aligning discourse, re: poverty, inequality, iran, etc. im skeptical of this in commercial media as i mentioned in the other post. but if its considered possible, then the fact that you include those things in the list, but not misogynistic culture, is questionable and probably related to your limited perspective, being a man who doesn't really have to worry about it.
to give you a flipped example, which is admittedly contentious (ie the ongoing disagreements in the iran thread) i'm not at all convinced that its terribly important to have anti-imperialism re iran as a topic promoted by commercial media. i think the us position on iran is entirely determined by our relationship with them on afghanistan. now, you may say that even if the american public's feelings on iran aren't going to decide consequences such as bombing it or not bombing, its nonetheless better that people have anti-imperialist feelings than imperialist ones. i would agree, and thats analogous to where i'm coming from on rush and anti-misogyny.
