For the former Newbury Park High School track coach this day has been full of emotions — from sadness to guilt. Because she never filed charges against Long after she says he assaulted her his senior year.
Colell says it happened during practice when someone found a phone and she was trying to figure out who it belonged to.
“Ian came up and started screaming at me that was his phone,” said Colell. “He just started grabbing me. He groped my stomach. He groped my butt. I pushed him off me and said after that — ‘you’re off the team.’ ”
But Colell says she was encouraged by other coaches and the school to accept an apology to not ruin his future in the Marine Corps.
“I should have reported it then,” said Colell.
And although she never would have predicted this, Colell says she doesn’t believe this is just a case of PTSD. She says Long had issues long before he was ever a Marine.
“There are hundreds of thousands of people with PTSD,” said Colell. “They don’t go around shooting people. This kid was mentally disturbed in high school. There were signs and the administration knew it.”
WHICH ONE OF YOU DID THIS,

Despite pouring an extra $200 million into bonuses and approving some additional waivers for bad conduct or health issues, Army recruitment last year fell short of goals by about 6,500 soldiers.
for some reason more people who have only known endless war dont want to sign up to die kill in the desert. lets see if those latte sipping liberals can be convinced

unfortunately that widely publicized shortfall coincided with a higher recruitment target than the previous year
The struggle to meet this year’s higher recruiting numbers — a significant increase over last year’s mission of 69,000 — was expected, mainly due to the favorable American economy and increased competition from private sector employers who are able to pay graduates more money.
so even "only" recruiting 70k troops still beat the previous year's target. we're no less demonic than ever; the brass just got a little overenthusiastic

that makes sense because the "origin story" recruitment campaign literally was an arm of the Captain Marvel comic book movie rollout
This post is to inform the postingship that the official position of this Web site is, He's An Op, and he's going to continue to prove it in more and more grotesquely absurd ways for the next year at least. And so we all got something to look forward to. Well bye.

plenty of room remains to go harder than that, ofc
Lieutenant PETE BUTTIGIEG sits at a desk, fingers furiously tapping on a keyboard. He pauses as the Navy SEALs led by platoon sergeant RYAN HAWKINS walk into the room at a brisk pace -- carrying their weapons and covered in grime from their recent mission. BUTTIGIEG looks up at a clock on the wall. The display reads "9:34"
BUTTIGIEG
This is your debriefing. Describe your method of entry.
HAWKINS
(breathing heavily)
Came through the skyline.
BUTTIGIEG
Any contact in the hallway?
HAWKINS
One confirmed.
BUTTIGIEG
(glances at corporal FLOYD DANE)
Did you get everything in the main room?
DANE
The primary LZ was aborted. I moved to cover the secondary LZ after clearing the main room.
BUTTIGIEG
Any hostiles?
DANE
(speaking with emphasis)
I vaporized hostiles.
BUTTIGIEG
(looking back at HAWKINS)
Is there a reason you elected not to go back in and blow up the missiles, corporal?
HAWKINS
I had one dead, two wounded. I didn't have time to dick around.
BUTTIGIEG
Do you consider searching for internationally important munitions "dicking around?"
HAWKINS
Hey don't point the finger at me about something you desk jockeys should've known about in the first place. And by the way, thanks for the hot tip on the hundred assholes we encountered -- your "soft targets." Makes you wonder why they call it "intelligence."

this is good, except for the super sad parts where the writer accidentally explains how the best way to fool him is Bernie Sanders style, by talking about “fighting oligarchy” and Significant Discounts and so on instead of socialism. That guy is on the road to a broken heart :(
Also he interrupts himself like three times to apologize at length for the article he’s writing. that site either needs an editor or a new one who will do their job.
But otherwise a good story about how the mayor guy is Ap Lant and refuses to explain his policy positions, and how he did stuff like use the housing code to try to ethnic cleanse the town he ran.
