as I understand it, the DSA national-level committee met there this year, and because of the variety of tendencies that have invaded the organization opportunistic-Trot style, the side fights that happened between national and local transformed the local into a weeks-long muffled screaming match afterwards & active members started quitting almost as soon as it began

I've worked with plenty of anarchists in plenty of different towns. Idk if your experience can really be universalized to that conclusion tbh, a good number view the rise in socialism as something they benefit from as well.

As far as security inside SRA, they don't do anything illegal and members are highly encouraged to not look to other members for illegal activities. Its a plank of membership.

I'm a gun haver, no disillusion of grandeur I'm way to crippled for survivalist fantasies. I just like fireworks and breaking the sound barrier. If there is enough people who don't mind I could do a quick thread on basic firearms introduction and purchasing advice. I'm not great on deep knowledge as far as marksmanship goes but I know about brands and weapon types and the different way they handle pretty well.
