like one of those two RT'd him to make fun of him and his response was "Took the raccoon all of 6 minutes to find this tweet and pass-agg RT it,(very chapo)" and people are like he thinks that guy's friends with that podcast haha!!

but what he really means is, that the guy he doesn't like anymore is tapped into the extensive NSA-provided security apparatus required for the podcast people to find a tweet someone just tweeted and reply to it with a 5-out-of-10 joke. On Twitter

i still don't understand the move from "fascists use irony and jokes to deliberate and calculated effect" to "therefore, jokes are fascist"

i feel like stalin's "marxism and the problems of linguistics" would be a good jumping-off point in formalizing the error but i don't have the time or focus today to think it through

1. defending prolife "socialists"
and

i would pay a few capitalism dollars for someone to actually record video of irl Phil Greaves' face while he twitters. it's just impossible for me to picture. is he cackling? does he wear a beret the whole time? is he naked? does he lack all affect and wear an ugly coat in a small cold room? is he wearing a tie in a nice office in a certain building southwest of DC?

he can't be real. maybe he could be. real is pretty weird these days.

i've met a couple old guys like Greaves in meatspace. mainly they seemed fucked up and traumatized by real COINTELPRO style activity, which prompts them to see anything they find distasteful or uncomfortably novel for any reason as the sure sign of spies sent to undermine political organizing. They feel like they and others should have shown less trust in the past, and take it to mean that no amount of distrust is enough.

i find it a lot harder to sympathize with the young people who are drawn to them like moths to a flame and ape their kneejerk paranoia because they seem to have a lot less of an excuse in their life histories. but even they are probably acting out coping mechanisms to deal with betrayed trust in their pasts.

for anyone who missed it, the story of Commie Flanders / the boourns identity's exit from Rhizzone is that he kept getting downvoted every time he posted, so he posted a thread in the faily planet subforum asking posters to give him advice on how to improve his writing. some people just made fun of him in that thread but a good number of posters gave him advice, then the next thing he did was ignore all of that advice and post an absolutely terrible thread, along the same lines as his Twitter account, that got him mass downvoted and ifapped and then he stopped posting here and was later destroyed for calling the Vice President of the United $nakkke$ a cool guy. goonspeed
