And in order to do that despite ensuing conflicts with her mortal enemies, Israel must first survive. Like Moses said, "Choose life." I differ with orthodoxy-- I believe all people are "chosen" and all sentient beings exist in love. Our bodies, like all materialistic perceptions, obscure our eternal wise and loving true identities. Life is not about the land or the money, but who can blame Israelis for trying to survive?
