PCR-RCP expelled the Montreal/quebec branch, the Montreal branch still owns the website + all their stuff.
#125
That's not too bad of a split by Left standards but it still blows. At least the document announcing it isn't slathered in incomprehensible gender polemic that ends up being a defense of an abuser.
#126
Anyway the pcr rcps theoretical journal is mostly good so far. There's a long winded essay on post Maoism that I skipped but the stuff on the mass line is nice. It seems that the Montreal branch has all of the books they printed lol so if you buy it it's coming from them.

red guards austin and a big tent socialist org in austin got in a spat over may day. sounds like rga splintered off the big tent may day demonstration and ended up getting wrecked by right wing protesters, so of course they started writing walls of text at each other

lmao here we fuckin go again

https://mcpoc.wordpress.com/

almost none of these groups listed as part of the "oc" have issues any sort of summation that ive ever seen on anything. and idk if the new york and worcester groups are actually the boston and ny branches of the maoist communist group or not? also wheres charlottesville, tampa, or richmond, which all allegedly have their own little collectives too.

interesting statement from all the various maoist communist parties based in orange county

plz post links, i have no idea where these people are posting their screeds

they say so little in so much space, but im assuming they're in the right here because the idea of, for one, defining the proletariat to include *non wage-earners* seems ridiculously pomo. for value to take the form of surplus-value, it logically necessitates wage-labor, right?

e: i should be clear i'm ignoring the fact that there's no proletariat in kkklanada

Yeah I was forced to skim this bc it's so repetitive but it seems like the ultraleftism of Quebec split from the rightism of the rest of the Canadian movement. Both seem wrong but the ultraleftism is productive I think. Even if the rightists are right when they say there's no point in handing out newspapers or building urban base areas for guerrilla warfare in Toronto it's a far better dream than abandoning it for increased facebook presence and tailing the IWW. The main party shows all the symptoms of petty-bourgeois revisionism and I exect it will dissolve itself as a communist org within 5 years. The Quebec one wants to turn every protest into an anarchist riot and reacts to the revisionists fear of violence by pretending it has no consequences at all for state repression. Hopefully the Quebec party can emerge from this better and shed some of the leftist posture which is probably a reaction to the rightism of what seems to be an entryist takeover by academics and identity politicians. Though allowing this takeover to happen seems to have gone unanalyzed, they specifically deny the regional differences of Quebec to be determinate so I'm not sure how they justify how easily the party was conquered. Also hopefully all involved can learn to write better.

The thing on proletarian feminism is worth reading though. Not because it says anything new but because I can understand why it was called transphobic. Publishing that anywhere on the left internet except for here would get you instantly excommunicated, the phantom struggle against "TERFs" has been all but won and women have been silenced as "cis oppressors" of trans people.

The Quebec split attacked people at a bookstore and a cafe lol. JMP was at the bookstore and said it was absurd and pathetic. I really respect the Quebec groups PPW shit but it seems like that side of the split can't deal with difference or criticism at all.
#141
There was so little precise detail on both sides too. It's hard to understand what's going on

I'm sure it was silly but I don't trust JMP on the issue since he's the kind of petty-bourgeois academic they are polemicizing against and has no self-awareness about it.

#143
But yeah it's probably all incomprehensible and meaninglessness, everything I've seen justifying it from both sides has been gibberish.

i don't know what they mean by armed propaganda. like there's the shit that's been going on in the US where more leftists, and especially maoists, are starting to open carry at demonstrations but there's an actual limit to the propaganda value of simply standing around with guns or actually managing to thwart the advance of militiamen. then there's bombing safeways and the senate but i'll have to go back to the bureau to check how successful those actions were.

i think they're talking about this, which is fitting since some of the american maoist groups reprint marighella's minimanual. it's mentioned in passing here.

I'm a bit confused by this "TERF" beef, this text seems fairly reasonable and certainly difficult to perceive as hostile. Is it mostly a north-amerikan / internet phenomenon?

after writing a twenty thousand word polemic about how it was not i but a revisionist anti-party clique that blocked the toilet at the anarchist bookshop better unironically end with "we are the only genuine proletarian party capable of leading the entire Canadian people in People’s War against the bourgeoisie and the Canadian bourgeois State"
