Things have been going great here! With the election exposing a lot of new people to active left politics, and after police reaction to several local movements brought a lot of people to a very radical position quickly, left organizations here have been growing rapidly. We're at the point where several organizations have approached us in an effort to create a hub for organizing inside the city. Our dues are going to cover it and it would be a great boon for our own organization so we're pulling the trigger on it. If you would be down to pitch a couple bucks our way to help cover for cleaning costs and putting up some new bars and drywall we'd greatly appreciate it.

In return I will answer any and all questions people have about the local scene or political shit they would ask an organizer. we need a collaborative ask an organizer thread anyway. If you have org experience feel free to respond as well.

Hello Friends and Comrades, The San Diego branch of the PSL is almost there to getting an office of our own. This would be invaluable to our efforts in fighting for economic and social justice. In addition to hosting our meetings and events, we're interested in being able to help other progressive organizations and coalitions have access to the space as well. A few weeks ago, we found an amazing location for a great price. While we'll be able to afford it sustainable with our current budget, the initial costs of moving in, furnishing it, etc. are a large lump sum. Please consider helping us out in this key moment. Please make sure you are budgeting for cameras and an adequate NVR. You'll also get the people trying to walk in to meetings to photograph all the sign-in sheets and attendants. Use an airlock mentality to prevent this - two doors to get in that can't be opened at the same time, require official clearance at the vestibule to proceed. This can be as simple as installing a counter around the entrance, with a cheap door that locks to get by the counter. If you promise to read this post I will promise to think about donating.

we would love to get an outdoor camera set-up. the abq office has been attacked six times this year so identification and 'hardening' the site has been discussed extensively
