I'm still not sure if trumps going to flail around selling steaks while his neocon secretaries insanely fuck everything up, actually run the nation and be a fascist man like all his speeches say, or secretly be a good president via doing anything at all other than drone bombing people and jailing journalists. To me they're all still equally likely & I'm in favor of any of them. I hope he sells every national park in the USA to Enron for one dollar.

Heres the 2 grossest posts I've ever read in the history of the SA forums

1. Old GBS thread where a guy posted what it was like to host an orgy. I've got no problems with orgys or hosting them but this guys advice was all about having towels... lots of Warm... Clean... Towels . Keep them in the dryer so they're warm. Everyone will want to relax with a nice, fluffy, clean, dry, warm towel. with that smiley every time. It reminded me of the scene in eyes wide shut where Tom Cruze is in the tailor's shop and he's being seduced by a child and then the tailor comes out and you think he's going to be mad but actually hes pimping his daughter. Just in feeling.

2. In some old thread about being a english postgrad or something a guy asked the OP about reading and the OP described having to read things for school but then said that "(he) still likes to pleasure-read, and when (he) does, the honeyed words drip off the page" and its the grossest, dumbest, worst thing I can think of to say.

I was thinking about these in real life. They both are probably a decade old if not older at this point. There was no place else to post this. Understand that I will never die, and can't die, because everything is forever.

well no it's because they're mostly bourgeois-valued adventurists who tolerate incredibly degenerate behavior and immediately trust anyone they meet who seems to agree with them and are therefore the usual vector for police infiltration of any coalition, even more likely than the left-liberal Democrats, and all of them except the syndicalists don't pay any attention to history or understand that socialism requires defense as well as offense to establish and that ideology is exactly why they get played by the cops and scattered. they're good to smash things though as long as nothing is at stake for them except a night in jail so good job out there today, hope y'all become communists before the federal government entraps your squad.

my b iggest act of anarchy ever was putting on more eyeliner than alice cooper and angrily sitting on the edge of the wishing well/fountain in the mall i drove to in my shitty ford escort, for about two hours while i listened to leftover crack repeat on the cd playeer i got for christmas. i mean now i'm a former blue collar who is back in university but back then i'm pretty sure if i saw someone wearing a george w bush hat in those days i'd tell them to fuck right off!

if you find cool anarchists work with them imo. i know exactly one and they don't really hang out with other anarchists, they are just from a certain strain of christian radicalism. the only person i keep in touch with from the old clique who is still anarcho-, i like their band but i can't invite them to anything substantial because they will inevitably show up with whatever sketchy drunks have been sleeping at their house for the last couple weeks and expect them to be put to use.

i'll defend them to non-leftists, but i also have a pretty strong distaste for anarchists and that whole adbusters vein of protest culture

i don't really find these images of individual acts of protest cathartic. to me it looks like the ineffectual flailing of an extremely weak left... just depressing and embarrassing. my gut feeling is that it plays the same role in radical circles as the hillary clinton harry potter fanfic or woke toddler stuff does for liberals. i'm all for torching limos or punching nazis but something about treating the images as a "balm", "solace" or "moment of zen" is just pathetic.

idk maybe it is harmless or even necessary - and i am struggling to explain my vague intuitions here - but i can't shake the feeling that there's something toxic about it. losing to the right sucks, but creating a loser culture to comfort yourself just makes things worse

well i agree with the first part. i am actually optimistic about the future and the left is much stronger than it was, but that's relaive to a terrible starting point and i think there's still a long way to go. maybe the momentum of the war is starting to turn but we're still losing almost every battle.

Anarchists are useful for one thing: separating the wheat from the chaff. A Vine of Richard Spencer getting decked is a personality test, and the responses vary from "lol" to "not productive" to "free speech!" to "OH TOLERANT LIBERALS HUH?" and this is very useful to determine one's cretin levels
