Some of the questions were about the suicide epidemic in the military and criticism of the Veterans Administration (VA) for falling short on providing veterans with the mental health treatment they need.
After saying there are around 22 veteran suicides a day, Trump explained to the room of veterans what PTSD was.
“When people come back from war and combat and they see maybe what the people in this room have seen many times over, and you’re strong and you can handle it, but a lot of people can’t handle it,” Trump said.
There was a silence in the room after his statement, and people on social media were quick to express anger.

not only is Donald Trump Hitler, Mike Pence is worse! He's Double Hitler! this is the problem with Hitler Inflation: it removes the possibility of any substantive critique of conservative ideology or american belief by claiming that whoever is the top Republican this year is not just terrible but in fact an insane anomaly, way worse and way different from the Moderate Republicans, wherever they are, to say nothing of mainstream Democrats. it also necessarily rehabilitates Hitlers Past, because since the current top Republican is always Worst Hitler, previous Hitlers must really not be that bad. liberals were screaming that bush and mccain and romney were Hitler my entire adult life and now because they're vaguely opposed to Contemporary Hitler and his running mate Even Worse Than Destroys the World Hitler, they must really have not been that bad and have been largely redeemed.
