this is funny and all but i'm pretty sure the most rabid twitter users think intensely about their audience and feel like they know exactly who they are talking to. it has the veneer of "talking to everyone" but with the way following works it's not much more like talking to everyone than posting on the rhizzone. the "social graph" of twitter is a lot of mostly closed loops and you really have to go out of your way to find things that aren't in your own little echosphere
(echosphere is clever, i wasn't trying to be clever it just came out of my fingers. don't hate me because i'm beautiful)
