just two days ago news came out that Turkey was filing paperwork to try to extradite Gulen from the US (http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/ankara-says-file-ready-to-seek-gulens-extradition-from-us.aspx?pageID=238&nID=101594&NewsCatID=509) doubtful it would have worked given his CIA connections, but interesting nonetheless.

according to twitter of the turkish embassy in dc the commander of the first army (of four) has said that "the military does not support this coup attempt" so it's might not be a clean civilian vs. military divide.

one thing is for sure: this event is going to produce a lot of videos of turkish cops arresting turkish troops - goatstein's wet dream, or nightmare?
