If a band is a one hit wonder, they probably suck but managed to spit out one good track. Simple enough.

If a band has one album that you find really good, but their other work sucks, it's more confusing. You start to wonder if you're missing something in their other work, or if that one album isn't that good actually. Or if they did make the one good album and then became idiots. Hard to say.
