On one occasion they killed eight Taliban in two hours, ‘I wasn’t comfortable with it at first,’ said Osmond, ‘you start wondering is it really necessary?’ But the reaction of the locals soon persuaded him. ‘We had people coming up to us afterwards, not scared to talk to us. They felt they were being protected’.
Because after the super psycho duo just got finished murdering eight of their countrymen in cold blood the locals are just itching to tell them off.
Some more sniper quotes:
http://www.bollyn.com/norwegian-and-us-soldiers-kill-for-thrills-in-afghanistan
To kill Afghans, the soldiers say, is better than having sex. "To fight and kill is worth three months without sex. Maybe it sounds idiotic but it is better than sex," one Norwegian sniper said. "When you are on the field it is you or the enemy. And when you see the 'red mist' (blood spurt from sniper victim)...it is indescribable. It's why we are here."
"Sometimes we get lucky," one of the snipers told Alfa. "I hit a Taliban in the neck from 2,770 meters on February 2. That was really great."
Keep in mind Anders Behring Breivik murdered 69 people in Norway because he thought they didn't hate Muslims enough.

I see you called out a person on this message board because you know not one fucking liberal in the public eye would dare criticize a precious troop. In fact, nobody does.
You can criticize the president.
You can criticize the media.
You can criticize the government.
You can criticize corporations.
You can criticize the police.
You can criticize the courts.
You can do all this and be left or right politically and a substantial number of people will agree with you.
But if you criticize the troops nearly everyone ostracizes and hates you; anyone who agrees with you is too afraid to speak out and you're considered a liberal faggot who should shut up or leave the country.
And while you're automatically shoved to the left of the political spectrum you're told soldiers are objective, impartial and just doing a job. All they do is serve.
And why do they get to hide like cowards behind impartiality? Because those liberals you speak off don't confront them because they need to court soldiers on to their side for domestic issues like gay rights since the military is the pathway for minority groups to become truly equal. This conveniently allows the military to coopt any liberal opposition so their murder of the weakest people on the planet continues unabated.
Even if you could name a critic I guarantee you can't tell me one effect they have on policy because the one main protection anyone has against the military is their irrelevance.
For example, here's their basic reaction to any critic of what they do: "Squawk on, make noise with your mouth. You'll never touch us. You just make us look like we're heroically receiving unfair criticism by an unappreciative liberal faggot peasant who was GIVEN his freedoms from the aristocratic military"
Ok, they wouldn't say that exactly. They're politically cowards so they have to keep up the veneer of impartiality, but this is the common presumption of not only the military but the majority of the U.S. populace.
Of course it's never explained how murdering an illiterate Afghan goatherder in a peasant hovel or an Iraqi peasant in the slums and gutters of Baghdad is protecting our freedoms because it's an absurd lie we all have to believe through fear for the sake of people who supposedly "serve" us in the United States military.
But rest assured, the second someone against the military (not the idea of a military but the military as it stands today as a right-wing nationalist entity) is able to cause the death of a soldier by, for example, subordinating their lives on behalf of the civilian population of the nation they invaded, soldiers who claim to be willing to sacrifice and die for everyone's ability to speak out will be first in line to lynch that person.

If I was on that plane with my kids, it wouldn't have went down like it did. There would have been a lot of blood in that first class cabin and then me saying "OK, we're going to land somewhere safely, don't worry".
We certainly would have tried to do something to fight,' he said during a 2006 interview. 'I've had probably about 50 dreams about it.

yeah, ok. read those quotes on the second page and tell me troop hate is undeserved.
i don't think that universally hating every single troop in existence is justified because it places all the emphasis on individual choices and action while ignoring the larger picture of why they do so. still though, there are a lot of troops that deserve nothing more than a gruesome death as the 3rd world hordes wash over the first world and burn america and britain to ashes.
On the heels of a new military survey that the number of reported violent sex crimes jumped 30 percent in 2011, with active-duty female soldiers ages 18 to 21 accounting for more than half of the of the victims, we speak with Trina McDonald and Kori Cioca, two subjects of "The Invisible War,” a new documentary that examines the epidemic of rape of soldiers within the U.S. military, which won the Audience Award at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. "Not only was I astounded by the numbers, but when I started talking to the women and men who had experienced this, I was just so devastated by their stories," says the film’s Academy Award-nominated director, Kirby Dick. "These are women and men who are very idealistic. They joined the military because they wanted to serve their country. They were incredible soldiers. And then, when they were assaulted, they had the courage to come forward, even though many people advised them not to," Dick says.

CAPT. DEBRA DICKERSON: If a man gets accused of rape, it’s a setup, the woman is lying.
REBECCA CATAGNUS: I could choose to report it, but if I wasn’t—you know, if they found that what I saying wasn’t to be truthful, then that I would be reduced in rank.
ALLISON GILL: You could lose your rate, you could lose rank, you could lose your school, if you file a false report. So do you want to file a report?
CHRISTINA JONES: Even with the rape kit and everything, and the—my friend catching him raping me, they still don’t believe me.
TANDY FINK: I reported it two different times to my squad leader. And he told me that there is nothing he can do about it, because I didn’t have any proof.
ANDREA WERNER: They actually did charge me with adultery. I wasn’t married. He was.
TIA CHRISTOPHER: They took me before my lieutenant commander. He says, "You think this is funny?" And I say, "What do you mean?" He’s like, "Is this all a joke to you?" I was like, "What do you mean?" And he goes, "You’re the third girl to report rape this week. Are you guys like all in cahoots? You think this is a game?"
