Yeah, you would think that a con artist armchair reporting social media hawk that preys on normal people's ignorance and desire for justice for money would be more careful about gender

Oh do you like fuckin love space or something?

#58
actually deadken's position is that educating people about science is grueling, difficult and worthwhile which is why the darlings of western science education don't do it.
#59
it could be that some things can be done by both communists and bourgeois governments and the character of those governments is reflected in those activities

his article about that was really funny because he described tyson and the i fucking love science crew in terms that apply directly and exactly to his politics

the soviet space program was good but under capitalism space research is just camouflaged military research and bickering extensions of US hegemony, with a dash of the foibles of eccentric rich twits and the remnants of cold war capitalist "progress" propaganda. its important to remember the context of western people caring and thinking about space has been forcibly tied to cold war sentiments and western chauvinism. under current conditions most space science sucks, people who care about space suck, and the cold vacuum of space sucks. in the west the stance of opposing space serves the purpose of opposing the west's colonialist narrative of the conquest of space and its use as a logistical space for western military and economic force projection.

once China's space program really kicks into gear we'll probably have some cool shit to talk about. hopefully they'll be able to cut off the states' efforts to militarize space.

aren't there all those other weird splinter forums / dead branches of evolution like posting place and wddp? I don't know the full list and they are all terrible, just like rhizzone

the direct military applications of space shit turned out to be a dead end which is why they retired the space shuttle. the soviets also figured this out and their successors managed to at least make some money off space by being good and cost effective at launching rockets and space ships and things. in conclusion, space is good. im 5, and i like elmo

control of satellites is an extremely significant military asset, and gatekeeping access to satellite communications is a potent way to enforce economic dominance over a region

i reject space exploration as rocketry is inherently nazi
#70
it was only the americans who needed nazis to design things for them, the soviets had their own people do it

GLONASS

e: also pretend i wrote "the direct military applications of manned space flight e.g. grabbing soviet satellites and flying back to Vandenberg with them or doing a nice lazy orbit and dropping a nuke directly on moscow without alerting soviet early warning radars which are looking for missiles on suborbital trajectories" both of which were stupid and unworkable ideas but convinced the USAF to back NASA up when they went panhandling at the Senate in 70s. also the ussr had tons of their own spy and communications satellites wtf

No country's space program is important space research is meaningless
#75
whatever luddites, you'll still be posting how useless space is when i pack my bags and move to the moon
#76
it will be because of forced labour transportation like all colonizations but regardless you will probably still be posting

a new life awaits you in the off-world colonies

fuck mars. make THIS planet red!

Space exploration and space shit is only pointless and crap under capitalism. Under communism space exploration will be cool and fun. Since the soviets managed to put a man in space in the 60's in a glorified tin can its not unreasonable to thing that the equivilant powerful industrialised communist country in the early C21st would be building moon bases and sending people to mars.

Just another reason why communism rules and capitalism drools

this, basically. Chinas space program is really cool and they're going the moon & beyond while capitalism pretends the stars dont exist
