Canada's armed forces have a pretty twisted recent history when it comes to counterinsurgency training (although outsourced to the RCMP in case of Jordan & Haiti). I'm sure beyond the usual "teaching militia members how to shoot" there'll be some sordid shit with long-term consequences for people in Iraq. Certain people in the Iraqi gov are concerned enough that they seized a Hercules aircraft full of Cdn weapons back in November

i used to do radio. i thought i'd ruined my voice soon after but in 2011 called in to a radio station to tell a dj that michael phelps was the guy who smoked weed that week and win some sort of staind merch pack from their 2011 album. she asked me whether i was in radio and i said yes, and she said she was going to use me for bumpers or something and i never went to get my staind merch. i still wonder about that, like, if it was a long drive or maybe fifteen minutes away or something. anyway i'll never do your podcast.
