i never liked that show. i still saw a bunch of episodes because in the 90s you couldn't like go off and watch ten episodes of the wire on your laptop. you had to engage in intricate negotiations just to keep the channel on something tolerable. it's important that our teen lurkers recognize the freedom we have today.

i owned and enjoyed This Fire, which was one of the best albums of the late 1990s. Cole was given New Artist in 1998, part of a redemptive run for the backhanded award that would include Leann Rimes, Lauryn Hill and Christina Aguilera and almost made up for the post-Crow debacle of Hootie and the Blowfish in 1996.
